So that's where you went Taggart! Afraid I've not been keeping up with what's going on (and forgot my password to the messageboards).

Ok... hmmm.. I'll stock up and head into Becktown ASAP. Medical teams are always helpful Razz

Well, Obes, I hate to break it to you, but Operation: Divine Intervention has pretty much wrapped up by now. We're all back at Cuthbert General (although I must say I bagged enough zeds and healed enough people to buy NecroTech Employment).

Phew! good thing I didn't go and waste all that time. I'll just continue operating out of Cuthbert and the surrounding buildings.

By the way, for any survivors in/around Roachtown, I'm moving in to help with the AMDF operation Big Can of Raid.

So far, the AMDF has established a beachhead at the northwest corner of Adler Mansion (51,36) and are planning to retake Cyril General Hospital, which fell to a small zombie taskfroce of about 16-20 zombies, possibly operating out of Ridleybank.

Go east to Lumber Mall. Entry point is the hospital attac hed to the NE corner. A group of people there [including me, Jean Louise Finch] are preparing to go retake Whittem.

And sorry, I lack the revivification skillz. Er... actually, I may have the skill, but I have no syringes. There is a revive point nearby, I'm sure.

Thanks for the information. Is there anyone in your group that has revive skills? I'd like to ask them for help.

Just signed up as snolly.

Worryingly, the town I'm from is actually called Malton. Erk.

I'm in greentown inside of the Cornelius Museum. I've been revived, but I'm infected. The chances are very high that I'll end up being killed by another human. *sigh* Bleah.

It takes too freaking long to gain XP to buy skills in this game. Game not well balanced toward new characters, since most days you can make zero progress toward anything useful.

Depends on type really, I picked the HARDEST, a Doctor... sheesh, it's like running the gauntlet.

But, after getting diagnosis, a LOT easier.

Hang in there, it'll get better if you can make your way to a less densely infected area.

I second that...thought I'd be canny and sign up as a military medic (you know, shoot someone, heal yourself, runaway, that kind of thing), but find that I'm more It Ain't Half Hot Mum, than Apocalypse Now. Out of interest started a Zombie and he's doing much better, although how you can get more experience from chewing someone as compared to diagnosing and treating teeth marks, I've no idea.

I'm Phlegethon and Josh Hex, try and guess which one's the Zombie (My original choice was going to be Guy Montag, the Fireman, but for some reason it was already taken:? ).

... You don't. One successful bite yields four XP; one successful heal yields five.

I think the game is pretty hard if you're new, but yes, it does depend on what class you pick. I love my DNA Extractor though. However, I find it strange that wherever I go, there are PKers and ZKers that always kill me. I end up spending the night with those groups. The only time I died without being PKed was once. I have died about three or four times.

I agree with Sha-Zoobie about the killing. It seems there is much more interest in just killing anything that moves than really RPing. I know a lot of people don't like the idea, but I wish they'd put some sort of finality into the characters. It's too easy now to just keep dying and reviving depending on which side you want to be on for much true RP to be done. Of course past suggestions of that have resulted in much outcry from the kill-kill-kill crowd, which is evidently the majority.

I'm Hardcastle in West Grayside and Truck Hadesaria in North Blythville, although he just got taken out. I suppose to be on equal game footing I'll have to try to get him revived, although true RP would warrant me just going around killing people.

I'm going to give it a few more days and see what happens but frankly between the difficulty of being new and the propensity for hack-n-slash instead of RP I doubt I'll be around much longer.
