Central news resources seem to be in short supply, but it looks like a large number of zombies have embarked on a Mall Tour. Attacking Pole Mall yesterday. I left before the inevitable sack, will go back when they leave. I saw one note in the wiki that the zombies owners are using people characters too, so they unfairly bring people skills to their depredations. Too bad the game doesn't have a way to enforce the role playing dynamic to stop that.

Most people skills are blocked.

The only ones I can think of that aren't are Diagnosis and the Flak Jackets and Body Building.

That means they can see peoples' hit points, Aborb 1 damage from every GUN shot and have 60 hp not 50.

It's not too much of a problem, and apart from diagnosis, stays in with the fiction of the game (if you're a bodybuilder, you'll make for a tougher zombie, if you're wearing a flak jacket and die, it won't just 'fall' off).

Obes - they make alts. So they bring a zombie AND a person to their side of the battle. At least that's how I understood the report.

Why does the game allow people to attack other people and zombies to attack other zombies?

Seems like removing that possibility could solve a lot of problems...

(btw, got my first kill today, woohoo)

-- EDIT --

Ok so "bwoch" was a zombie when I logged on this morning and is awaiting a reviv, but my second character is doing much better.

I go by "Alan Plank", I'm hiding out in Dartside, and I just got the "Pistol Training" skill.

Well, ShaZoobie is still a zombie and injuring the PKers that killed me. Outside of a museum in Greentown.

And Pluffie is still alive and well inside a police department at Molebank. It's a headquarters for a group. Pluffie might join their group (still unsure as to wether they've accepted my sister and me). They like to keep the place at VS barricaded, because all of the other buildings in the area are heavily barricaded. I don't have free running so that sucked.

Fun stuff! How's everyone else doing?

Slowly leveling up as various zombies left in the neighborhood after the Mall Tour hit Pole mall have stayed to crack a number of buildings. Personally I think zombies should revive elsewhere when they are "killed". Otherwise it's a battle of attrition as they keep coming back to life and go right back to hacking at the same barricades.

I think that's the biggest problem right now.

Zombies can just stand up, even from a headshot, for 15AP at tops..

Humans need to die, stand as a zombie, manage to get revived, then stand again just to come back. AND.. Zombies can stay put and restand, Humans wanting to stop being zombies need to travel, at high AP cost.

Teleporting dead zombies to a graveyard or nearest cemetery would do... or even 'zombies teleport to nearest cemetaries, or wastelands' when killed. Most places are near to at least one of those, but it makes them have to actually walk back, rather than just standing up. After all, how many headshots and hackings can even one zombie take?... unless there's a load of fingers wiggling around as zombies now...

Hence the decision to abandon Pole Mall when it came under attack. If enough zombies decide to cooperate, there's no way to resist. They can cite the defense of Caiger mall as an example but that was the rare exception that got everyone's attention. Day to day, the only way to stay alive is to just run away.

Yes, Kevan needs to nerf the zombies.

What if it was like that except if you could burn the bodies and an extra ap cost it would rid the places of bodies and the Cemetery could have the message of the Cemetery is full of bodies or something. And a Zombie could only turn them into one of them if they are infected.

By the way, any NecroTechs (or people interested in working for NecroTech) out there might want to see if they can get clearance to access the NecroTech labs, provided they can hook up a generator.

In short, with NecroNet access you get:

The ability to see the results of DNA scans in the area (I assume the suburb - or suburbs - closest to the NT building in question)
The ability to manufacture syringes (very useful, although doing so costs 20 AP)
The ability to revive brainrotted zombies (I believe the zombie has to be inside a powered NT building to start with, with other conditions as yet undetermined).

After I get Bargain Hunting, I'm going to save up for Lab Experience and NecroNet Access!
