Anybody think the file names in the images/images directory mean anything (i.e., do they decipher)? Or should I/we be pretending they don't exist Smile ?

Well, considering that the contact information for the clothes site, at least, appears to be geared mainly toward distributors that may want to carry the product, and that the WIRED article said the ARG was slated for January, they may still be getting images and stuff in place.

There's one in Chandler, where my roommate's from and still goes down to a lot. I'd be glad to make runs for anyone interested.

Hey, I found that 3rd and 8th tabs you were looking for in the flash animation. The thing is, the cursor doesn't change when you pass over the link.

Here's where they are, and what's on their pages

3rd tab:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

In the 'e' of "I've got nothing to hide" under the logo.
This is cool, you should check it out. There's a bit of info, and a guy named Al has obviously died. There's a place to enter codes as well.

There's an faq here too, and here's what the first question says:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

>I am confused and in need of aid. Will you hold my hand through this frightening process?

Look at the peice of clothing. I've already told you it says "nothing to hide" on the inside. But I'll bet when you looked, you just saw dots, or symbols or something. I'm telling you, it still says "nothing to hide". That's your key. Figure out the code I've used then, go back and use the same technique to uncover the hidden secret buried somewhere else on the garment.

8th tab:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Click the skulls 'nose'
Sends you to a apparel area, and has locations and dates of tradeshows.

Gives us an idea of what the puzzles are, at least.

It looks like myself or someone else from ARGN will be doing an interview of some sort with the head designer at EDOC.

Anyone have any questions that they specifically want asked?

(Also, be aware that I will NOT ask the question: "Why $30 for a friggin shirt?" cuz it's a dumb question. Smile)

Are they planning to make it possible to order the clothes directly from the website?

Nice find! Smile

Perhaps we should try the solve from the WIRED article?

a bit of clarification

Hey guys,

I tried so hard to sit back and not post about this, but I think a bit of background would really help out here.

We are THRILLED at the WIRED article, but the site/game/clothing really isn't quite ready for primetime yet.

We're still mucking around with character names, plot concepts, and site design, and didn't really think we'd be on display until early next year. (February, despite what the pretty pictures in the magazine say). In the meantime, please feel free to dig around the site and see what we've been up to, but keep in mind it's like finding our sketch pad rather than the final artwork.

Anyway, that was the long way of saying, EDOC - COMING SOON!

Elan

Some people don't like finding stuff through decompileing flash, so i won't spoil anything here. All I'll say is there's three codes that can be entered.
If you don't feel like it's cheating the answers are in the flash.

Dorkmaster:

Ask what do we have to do to be the first to know when the site is finished/clothes are available?

Hi Elan! (DM gets all glassy-eyed and starstruck whenever that dude posts...)

So yeah, good questions (except I'm gonna have to do some research on your question, Krystyn... cuz I have no idea what you just said Smile)

I was totally thinking about when/if clothes will be available direct from the site for those not coastal, so that's definitely on the list.

And while I can't guarantee anything, it looks like EDOC is totally willing to talk, so I can't imagine they won't throw at least a press release at ARGN prior to "launch". (I admit, I geekily LOVE this idea. I like the clothes (even though they'd probably not work on a straightlaced dude like me... I'm so NOT SK8R material...) but I love even more the idea of wearing an ARG. I mean, it's like taking ILB to the streets or work, every day! I can only imagine the fun I'll have telling people, "my clothes have a secret" (and then getting slapped by all my female co-workers who think I'm making a pass at them Smile))

So, yeah. Keep those questions coming, as it looks like they're really going to give me a lot of time to ask questions, and I'd really like to know what you want to know.

But to Elan (glassy-eyed again, and envious of his job), I must say... good work sir. (I tried the WIRED code to see what happens... and well... coolness abounds.)

Ok, well, enough of that. Happy threading, kiddies. I'm off to google "combat math boots".

Actually, I wish I had that skull one to wear to the Fall Out Boy show in a couple weeks.

All kidding aside... what will the time frame on this thing be? I mean, if the game STARTS with the release of a product instead of ending at/near its release, how long will this go on? Will there be a competition element? Or will it be more of a story-based thing, with emphasis on personal discovery?

Not a really hard hitting question, but probably a nice open-ended one to start the interview with:

Is EDOC about making an ARG profitable or creating a selling point in a saturated clothing market? (so like the standard "what are you doing question?" re-phrased into a slightly antagonistic question hoping to elicit a more interesting response)

Also a question about international player access blah blah (although after converting prices to $AU it's costing way to much for my likeing)
