Bad news - I ordered eight packs special delivery from Firebox and they took longer to arrive than had they been sent by post.

Good news - Firebox agreed to refund the difference in postal charges.

Even better news - out of the 48 cards I received, I got 40 different wave 2 cards (i.e. only one wave 1 pack and only two duplicates). Jammy or what?

My cards finally arrived yesterday, along with my Starter Pack.
It is just as well that they did come as the lack of cards was having an effect on my subconscious.

Apparently I was saying Tippy's name in my sleep last week and now my wife is pissed off at me.

Isn't the Viard cd rubbish?

Oh...and for the sake of completeness, my ratio of card packs was about 37.5% Wave 1, 62.5% Wave 2 - I think that the randomisation is getting better - that said, I had a fair few instances of opening one pack, then immediately opening another, which contained identical cards - even down to the order in which they were packaged.

J

P.S. No, I thought that the Viard CD was very "listenable". Which isn't a word, I know, however it damn well should be.

Anyone else been actually tracking what cards they get in what pack? I didn't think about it during the Wave 1 cards.

For those of you that can walk in and pick up a pack, I've noticed the following is almost always the case (At least packs comming from Firebox):
Coffee Cup = Wave 1 Purple Top Card
Green Thingy?? = Wave 1 Blue Top Card
Map = Wave 2 Purple Top Card
Pole = Wave 2 Blue Top Card

Also, based on the people I talked to we noticed that a number of packs, although are not identical (Though that seems to happen alot) Have a number of the same cards.
Top card is 147 the next 2 maybe random but the final 3 are 43,10,56
Top card 177 last 3 are 22,48,16
Top card 183 last 3 are 44,11,53

I could go on, but you get the idea. I thought they said they worked on the randomness of the packs for Wave 2.

On a positive note with my 5 for 4 offer I only got 1 Wave 1 pack for every 4 Wave 2. Pretty happy about that at least Smile

I was intrigued, so I went and bought 4 packs - 2 maps and 2 poles. The results are below:

Map:
Wave 1, purple top - (185, 117, 88, 57, 25, 50)
Wave 2, purple top - (173, 121, 86, 21, 47, 12)

Pole:
Wave 2, purple top, silver 2nd Very Happy - (178, 248, 113, 77, 49, 20)
Wave 2, purple top - (174, 115, 81, 53, 22, 4Cool

Very limited sample, but I'll be buying poles from now on! Very Happy

I've done some checking, just having bought a load of cards (to treat myself for Xmas).

Out of 36 packs I had the following:

4 Maps - all Wave 1
4 Poles - all Wave 1
14 Screw/ Green thing - all Wave 2
14 Cups - all Wave 2

So either you guys have made an error, or the packaging is random. It doesn't look it from what I found, but they were all from 1 box.

More importantly I found this: For the Reds to Greens there was little difference between the packs, however than it changes...

Out of the 14 Screw packs, there were 14 Blues, no Purples, 4 Blacks and no Silvers.

However the 14 Cup packs had no Blues, 14 Purples, 2 Blacks, and 2 Silvers

Again could be a coincidence, but it doesn't seem that random to me...
