I can't get this one to solve. Admittedly i did try a number of attempts with "the lions sleep tonight" - which is always what I thought the song was called!
I think its number 4 im stuck on. Is it:
pretty woman
oh pretty woman
oh, pretty woman
oh a pretty woman
If anyone could help I would be most obliged!

OK, now I'm confussed. I've tried the above suggestions, with all the various subtle possibilities and I still can't get a slove?? Can someone post a definitive answer here and put me out of my misery?

Barcode drama Mind Candy has registered one of the two barcodes on this card (8 07297 07931 9):
UPC Database Entry
UPC-A 807297079319
Description The Receda Cube: Mysteries of its Origin
Size/Weight (none)
Manufacturer (unknown) (807297)
Entered/Modified 2005-12-31 18:34:33
The other is unknown. I don't understand where people have been getting this stuff about Pascal FEOS - same manufacturer number but not even close otherwise (the other two barcodes are both 8 07297 07491 . For what it's worth, he is a German techno DJ, born in Greece, who has also used the aliases of Sonic Fusion and Resistance D; he owns his own label called Elektrolux. Here's the track list from the referenced album:
RICARDO VILLALOBOS: Easy Lee
LUCIANO & QUENUM: Orange Mistake
MONACO JAM: Strange Gold
PASCAL FEOS: Self Reflexion (Jean F. Cochois' Timewriter Rmx)
FREAKS: The Creeps (You'Re Giving Me/Steve Bug Rmx)
DK7: The Difference (Martin Landsky Rmx)
PASCAL FEOS: Tres O Tres (Unreleased)
FEOS Vs SWS: Desire (FEOS Treatment,Unreleased)
PAUL JACKSON: Push
ALEXANDWER KOWALSKI: Belo Horizonte
JOEL MULL: Still Here
AGORIA: La 11éme Marche (Phil Kieran Rmx)
SKATEBARD: Sgnelkab
AZURE TAINT: Red Tension
Now why would MC register a bar code with this manufacturer and attach it to Hesh Records? And also add a barcode for a real album that they didn't make or sell?

Hmm I don't notice much of use here except the Skateboard track is an invitation to unscramble as an anagram. Here's my list:
balk engs
balk gens
balks eng
bang elks
bang leks
bangs elk
bangs lek
bank gels
bank legs
banks gel
banks leg
bask glen
beg klans
beg slank
begs lank
blank seg
elk bangs
elks bang
eng balks
engs balk
gel banks
gels bank
gens balk
glen bask
glen kabs
glens kab
kab glens
kabs glen
klans beg
lank begs
leg banks
legs bank
lek bangs
leks bang
seg blank
slank beg
Make something of that
Oh, and noticed I missed a digit in the previous post - append an 8 to the end (it should read 8 07297 07491

I emailed Violet to see if she could check the PXC Libary for this text, providing her the title and the barcode number.
I got the standard autoreply.

FAKE! Don't waste time on this like I did. Another player actually FAKED THIS INFORMATION. Thought it might spark discussion, he said. I think it's an outrage myself that another player would potentially send 20,000 of us on a wild goose chase. See my thread in the general section for the confession.

This is getting painful
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1 my Sharona
2 purple haze
3 can't stand losing you
4 oh pretty woman
5 brimful of asha
6 white flag
7 addicted to love
8 never gonna give you up
9 deck the halls
10 the lion sleeps tonight
What is the secret to the formating the entry?
I have failed this one way too many times. Starting with what is described above, I have moved on to shifting punctuation, capitalizing and some of the leading words. I can't find a winning combination. I have even listened to each song to verify the mis-quotes. I am going crazy on this "yellow" card.
The puzzle was entertaining but having to do all this guess work on the formating has made this card painful.
Suggestions??
TIA

curious just out of curiosity, anybody find that dot in the circle kind of suspicious? like as if the card was held down on that point and spun we'd see something hidden?

more to the card perhaps? I've just read through the thread and didn't see some things listed so thought I would add to it.
Has anyone identified the background images under the "YOU MAY NOT KNOW"? There is a dotted line connecting the order in which to read the card, but there is more dotted line on the WE'VE LISTED block. Could this correlate with the map and provide some clues as to the progression of the person (s) who stole the cube? The background of the YOU MAY NOT KNOW looks a lot like that from another card.
Or is there some link with the titles of the three boxes?
YOU MAY NOT KNOW THIS PHENOMENON WE'VE LISTED
or something to the three individually with the test pattern?

I have, it was a while ago but if I remember correctly I used:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1 my Sharona
2 purple haze
3 can't stand losing you
4 oh, pretty woman
5 brimful of asha
6 white flag
7 addicted to love
8 never gonna give you up
9 deck the halls
10 the lion sleeps tonight
In other words, as per this post with the added comma in no.4

5. Brimful of Asha
6. White flag
7. Addicted to love
8. Never gonna give you up
9. Rockin' around the Christmas Tree/Deck the halls (maybe)
10. The Lion sleeps tonight
However, we can't actually make this work - think it's probably to do with a slightly different title? or spelling?
Anyone?
