They fired me.

After reviewing my file and performance history, comparing my work output for the time that I've been on their payroll, and reviewing my recent communications with the company regarding the video and what I saw in it, Vapor, Inc. has decided that they no longer wish to sustain my employment.

I called them (since they fired me via email), and actually managed to get Katie on the phone, though she didn't have very much to say to me. She said she'd patch me through to the human resources department, and then put me on hold, where I remained for the better portion of two hours. I never spoke to anyone after that; my call was disconnected. My follow up calls to Vapor have gone unanswered.

I'm not angry about getting fired, really (though sitting on hold for two hours will make even the friendliest old lady want to smash something), but I do think that their choice to let me go comes rather suspiciously close to my latest inquiry about the video footage. I never should have said anything! On one hand, I feel like I should have kept quiet and avoided making them think that I'm crazy. On the other, I still feel like there's something exceedingly strange about the company... something they're not saying, something more than loft renovation, at least. Why else would all of these really bizarre "coincidences" be happening in my life, all seemingly pointing, in one way or another, to Vapor?


Apparently, they fired Anne without stating any real cause other than payroll to output ratio. Anne is even more suspicious of Vapor. This confirms in my mind now more than ever that it's time to come clean with Anne. See this discussion.
