Daffy, that's a great idea. I love it.

I do a lot of design work so could help with layout etc. if needed. I'll send them an e-mail later asking what format they require and if they are accepting images or just plain text.

Hmm, if we can't quite come up with a direct theme, and we all do seperate articles, like some puzzles, some poems, a few short stories, articles on real life events and earth culture, we could put it all together in a book called
"The Musings of Earth", or something similar.
and have the theme merely being that that is how an earth dweller lives.
This way we dont need to worry about what we write about.

Nearly ready with a short story! Very Happy It's getting a bit on the longish side for 1k words... maybe I'll break it into parts and post the other parts on my blog or something. What's the longest we're going to allow a story to be? Question

Im with Daffy (even though its only a joke), but i think its a brilliant idea Very Happy
Not sure if im up for writing anything, I barely scraped a pass in honours English in school 6 years ago, so my essay-writing skills are pretty poor. Not to mention im supposed to be working on my Masters and this game is soaking up a lot of my time, due to my lackadaisical approach to the Masters and the fact that perplex city is WAAAY more interesting Smile
I wonder if i could do my Masters on Perplex City?? That would be great!

It would be cool to contribute to the book, though, so we'll see. Would a small essay about Neural Network Techniques in Computer Science be of interest to the Perplexians i wonder??? Geek

I dont think anyone's really said anything about length restrictions. So fFar the submissions on the wiki tend to be in the 1000 words neighborhood. I would say as much as 5000 words is perfectly fFine.

As my high school english professor used to say: Think of the miniskirt. Long enough to cover the important parts, short enough to keep it interesting.

lol Well, I've always used my mother's line that she gives at writing conferences: Arrive late, leave early. But the miniskirt is pretty exciting. Wink I think I'll steal that from your professor and tell it to my students. Give them an interesting visual. Cool
