All I want -- all I ask -- is that Mommy and Daddy PMs around the world tell bedtime stories to Baby PMs, in which the moral of the story is don't post to Unfiction as a character, or PHAEDRA WILL GET YOU, and now someone wants to start a bad game just so I'll abuse them.

I'm an abject failure as a bogeywoman. Sad

Seriously, glad you had fun. Smile

I just checked the website of mike webbing. I like that a professional killer has falling leaves on his site. It makes me think that he probably has a heart of gold under that murderous amoral exterior. It is an added bonus that they cause the scroll bar to pop up at irregular intervals in firefox, making the centered text jump from side to side like it is having a seizure. Again, this merely gives me more confidence in his abilities. A good professional killer isn't going to know about website design.

I know I don't...but perhaps I have said too much...

I'm, quite frankly, totally in love with the idea that a professional killer has a website extolling his virtues. Most people with a killing record might, oh, refrain from mentioning their ability to "do people," unless they are S&M types. But no! Hark! Mike instead puts

Quote:
Yello, Im Mike Webbing. I do jobs for people. Nothing dangerous, but if there is someone you need doing in...Im your man! My services come at a negotiable fee. Hope to do business soon. Mike.

First, I'd like to buy the man an apostrophe to stick between the I's and the M's. Second, beyond the glorious falling leaves, I love the resume. "I do jobs" - what kind of jobs? "nothing dangerous." But he'll "doing in" someone for you at a reasonable, negotiable price. I'm totally revamping my own website to a similar format, only with falling acid droplets and the statement that I can "do stuff at a negotiable fee"

Hot damn, Pancho. Hot damn.

story so far

Max "troubled time indeed" Franz is kidnapped - somewhere in a room under a building in England, possibly Liverpool. Happily, he has internet access and can talk to us. He also has two chairs, a map with pins and a window he can see out of.He was just about completing his secret identity - but he was kidnapped before then and taken to a suburban location.

http://www.freewebs.com/mazfranz

Max worked with Rod "too clever for this world" gomez

in a government project involving artifacts of terrible magical power when they are combined. The kidnapper is trying to find the artifacts too!

http://www.freewebs.com/rodgomez

And the kidnapper is none other than

Mike "what's wrong with a little destruction" Webbing

Mike worked with both Rod and Max in this sekrit artifact project. Two others who were involved are dead. Mike is torturing Max to get the locations of the artifacts. We must get to them before Mike does.

I am still hoping that the general concensus is NOT to play along with this, given that either this person is so inexperienced they did not bother to read the rules, or they are one of the many who choose to ignore the rules here in order to "challenge our concept of the genre". either way, it shows a disreguard for us here - and while i know i have a reputation for being a nay-sayer frequently, I am pretty sure that the bi-monthly attempts at both of these are getting old for many of us {hence vulva puppets and living tampons}

BTW: you couldn't post that as a link? you HAD to put it in here in full force? Technically, isn't that like, NSFW or something? or at least, NSFDT {not safe for dinner time}?

I want video footage of this guy being tortured, then I might consider playing, but only to laugh b/c I'm certain it will be actual torture between PMs and not file footage.

Is that wrong? Confused

I found myself laughing and being happier during the silliness of this game more than I have in weeks. I need laughter. This makes me happy. I also found people in chat laughing so hard they couldn't stand it. Is this a bad thing?

So I will keep playing and leave it up to the admins and mods to decide what to do about the rule infractions. I am sure they can handle it in their usual discreet fashion.

I understand many other people don't want to play or have anything to do with this game. So now having made that point repeatedly, by threadjacking, writing manifestos, and posting visual graphics- is it necessary to keep repeating it?

We get the point. You don't like this game. You don't want to forgive the PM for breaking the rules. He should know better! He posted three times in this thread! Very very bad and against the rules. We all get it. He should be shunned and humiliated for making an ill-conceived game and breaking our rules.

Now that we all know how people feel, maybe the people who aren't interested can find games they like and want to play. I know PPC just had new cards out, orbital is starting up and some others as well. There are lots of ARGs to occupy people's time and attention, unlike the old days when there was only one game in town.

Also, am I wrong, or isn't threadjacking something we try to avoid, esp. once a point is made? I know that this forum used to seriously frown on threadjacking-- at least that beyond that necessary to make someone's contempt for a game absolutely clear. And I thought that META discussions were usually put in META and linked from there. Sorry if I broke that (unwritten) rule with this post
