there quite obviously IS a way to transport matter one way at least!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Receda Cube is an exception. Nobody really knows how it got onto earth in the first place, let alone who took it. I mean, if there was a way of transporting Stuff between our worlds, the CRT would already be here looking for the cube, not operating through Mind Candy...

But I guess in a sense you're right - there IS a way to transport Stuff between our worlds. We just don't know what it is yet. Wink

My feeling is that, as Reason said, Hesh probably sent the music files to Mind Candy over the internet, as that seems to be the main link between our two worlds at the moment. I was just wondering whether MC might then have done something to those files...

it seems to me that if they don't know how to transport matter how do they intend to get the cube back?

Sorry for taking this more off topic, but if you want another mind bender; how did they set up links with Earth in the first place, there has to have been some physical contact at some stage?

I'll stop talking rubbish now Rolling Eyes

From the May 2nd Sentinel article 'Receda Cube Recovery Plan Unveiled':
Quote:
Reynolds admitted that, even if the Cube should be located, the means to transport it back to Perplex City is not available. "We will rest easier simply knowing it is in a safe place on Earth," she said.

As the good people of the Clapham Common event learned firstfoot, the Receda Cube may not represent an isolated example of the transportation of matter across the void; there are individuals affiliated with the Third Power on Earth, and we cannot yet know whether they arrived in caravan with their prize, or whether they came at distinct intervals.

[off topic political joke]

I suspect that 'Ming' may have arrived bearing the cube some time in the last few years. Certainly given his performance at PMQ's today he appeared to be under the influence of whatever technology has been being used at Viendenbourg.

Personally, I'm still not convinced that the Third Power even stole the cube... Wink

And couldn't those individuals just be earth people on the Third Power's payroll? That would mean they didn't send anyone over at all - they could be operating through them in the same way that the CRT and the Academy operate through Mind Candy.

CD Spectrogram Pictures?

Hey guys,
Has anyone managed to get anything coherent with using a spectrograph prog yet?
It's obviously possible because, as previously mentioned, Aphex Twin has used it to great use by hiding pictures in his songs.
But all i keep getting is random patterns, nothing that is of any use.
Has anyone got anything good?
And also, could we email kurt on HIM using a Spectrograph prog?

And then we come back to the question of how the Cube itself came to Earth. Maybe the Third Power know of some way to transport matter from Perplex City to Earth, which means that their operatives here might be Perplexians.

Of course you could be right and the Third Power's 'matter transferrer' (if you excuse me for being so crude) can only transport non organic matter which would explain why they would need individuals on Earth who could hide the cube for them.

This is all speculation of course. The Third Power may have had nothing to do with the Cube coming to Earth and their operatives may just be hired Earthlings paid to seek it out for them in much the same way the Academy is using us...

Nope. Or at least not that I know of. Sad

Hmm, maybe. But for one thing I'm not sure he actually has a copy of the album - we could email him the files, but to be honest I think he'd rather just get us to do it than risk getting caught with banned materials.

Plus I have no idea how much he's really interested in the Viard issue. Caine would really be the guy to ask, but I don't know of any way of contacting him...

i would have thought someone might have thought to look on the CD case and liner notes and see who did the producing of the album. There doesnt seem to be any mention of anyone even looking at the packaging at all, however. unless I am under some mis-guided impression, and it was actually shipped in a plain brown paper wrapper, there should be some sort of production credit, wot. Any liner notes at all, in fFact?
