Well, as Dr. Mae requested, I emailed him my question, as follows:

Quote:
Hello Dr. Mae,
As you had pressing matters to attend to during the conference for the ame That Rock contest finalists, I never got to ask the question I had planned on asking, and so here it is: What is your reaction to the many anti-orbicon lobby groups that exist, specifically C.A.R.T.S, Path Back To Eden and TheInept? As a related issue, do you feel that the work you are contributing to at Orbicon is beneficial or detrimental to the human race and / or planet Earth?

Thankyou for your time,
Karl Smith.

If the "mailbox is full" again, I may try the maefamily.info address.

Some wild speculation

Sounds like being in space can't be too good for growing children:
Quote:
[21:55] RaidStevi: I get tired on the ground

And we know there are a few children on the station who are even younger [smaller] than Stevie:

Quote:
[21:54] RaidStevi: Yeah, there are some other kids
[21:56] RaidStevi: How many? I don't know
[21:56] RaidStevi: There are two little ones
[21:56] RaidStevi: and one boy my age

Given the recent confusion in posts regarding Stevie's birthday and age, I wonder if they're experimenting on kids; or even (given the connection with SAIpets) manufacturing artificial children?
The maefamily.info website still talks about Stevie's birth like it just happened recently (though she's supposed to be 9). You're telling me that they haven't updated their website in 9 years? Confused

I was just thinking the same thing. From TheInpet website, we find that Orbicon is manufacturing anti-aging drugs. Perhaps the research to combat aging allowed them to also speed aging. Stevie may be 9 in development, but may have only been born a few years ago or less...

Considering they're high level staff on a project to create a small city in space...

Stevie's birthday is on February, 12th or did I miss something? Confused
You are right, it's strange that the site is announcing Stevie's birth after 9 years, when already 2 new blogs are on there.

There are only a few children, because the station was a secret up to now. I guess they are going to expect a lot more children. At least that's what you'd assume under normal circumstances...

Edit:
Duh. So much for trusting the "unread topic" icon...for some reason I have a bunch of topics marked as read I have never even seen before. And I was wondering why there are so few threads after I read a bunch of stuff I want to discuss... Rolling Eyes
So yes, I missed something. A lot something.

There were allegations of "rapid childhood growth" research found previously on the "Philosophy" page of TheInept's site.
