UPDATE: new journal entry + vulture reply

Seems like Ewan doesn't like us looking through his mail.

Quote:
4:14 pm Steve the orderly restored my internet priviledges to me this afternoon. He says if I ask about "Dale" one more time he'll put me in a straight-jacket and hang a sign around my neck that reads "Cecelia". Oops.

I got back online this afternoon for more than a few minutes for the first time in days. I was unpleasantly surprised to see that someone has not only deleted a number of train hopping messages from my hotmail account, but has gone so far as to reply to the Vulcan Vulture in my stead. I'd be somewhat less annoyed, I think, if I understood any part of their exchange. I haven't decided what to do about it yet; I've tried to avoid engaging Bird Brain thus far.

In happier news, someone was nice enough to crack Heph's note and post an explanation in my LiveJournal. It was a URL. I poked around the site a little. Apparently Dale has a lot of people looking for him...

I'm not him, incidently. Pretty sure. Practically positive. Basically certain. So I hope you're not here for that.

I tried a lot of other links on that page but Websense blocked them all. WTF is up with that?! I'm pretty sure the orderlies are toying with me.

I spent most of my offline time reading. The library in here is pitiful, but it's better than trying to read the magazines -- they remove all of the staples so, invariably, the pages get scattered and it's impossible to follow a story that spans multiple pages unless it's a two-page center spread. At the moment I'm reading Oscar Wilde: A Collection of Critical Essays, 10th printing, copyright 1969 by Prentice-Hall, Inc., part of their "20th Century Views" series. It's old, yellowed, stained and held together by tape. But it's better than Erica Jong's Fear of Flying (which sports stains of a more suspicious sort). What kind of looney bin is this?

Current Music: "Sleeping Awake", POD

Does anyone know who sent this?
And does the reply mean anything?

So are we going with the "Gentel Janitor" theory here? Only this guy hasn't limited himself to just the one ongoing game . . . Surprised

false lead?

Could this reply be another ARG reference? For those following the Virtuquest ARG starting up - "TRY AGAIN" has been the anagram for the first three characters...

Is there a University of California (UCA)? In the US?
Taking the first letter of each line, DuTu, doesn't ring any bells.
