PPC Starter Pack for Pre-Order

I see noone has posted it so I thought I'd just let people know that they now have the starter set up for pre-order on the same page as the PPC Cards.

Quote:
Starter Pack £19.95
Approx. €29.50 or US$34.50 Out of Stock Email me when in stock

and the postage is £1.95 for uk as well (which means cheap postage for overseas Smile ) Time to use another of those £5 vouchers.

Firebox starter pack available to buy

At £19.95 on the perplexcity page.

Interestingly enough they still have the £100 special offer on, so I now have 2 coming to me...

and Christmas is now partly solved...

Mad GAR. Did they wait until December to offer this thing as its own deal? December, when they stop shipping internationally? Mad

Hm... I'm going to try to order it anyway. Cool

EDIT: So far so good! They say the order went through! Very Happy

Just called Firebox to find out what the official "word on the street" is (apparently it's no longer "Give Way" or "Look Right") and spoke to a lovely lady there who found the original page that has the "No international orders in December" information.

However, good news is at hand, because whilst we were trawling the site, I noticed that the front page has been updated with the following snippet of info-tainment:-

Quote:
Christmas Cutoff
Orders placed before 2pm on Thursday, December 22nd will be despatched for pre-Christmas delivery to mainland UK addresses.

Delivery Update
Orders placed now should arrive:
Standard delivery: 2-3 days
Express delivery: Tuesday, Dec 6th

International customers: order before Dec 9th for pre-Christmas despatch.

So, no absolute guarantees, because shipping internationally is often a long and painful process, etc, etc - but you can still order from them.

Have fun,

J Wink

I already have mine, after spending way too much money on the Firebox website (as a star wars fan guess what I bought!). Those £5.00 vouchers do come in handy!!! As an aside, has anyone ever got more than £5.00 on those vouchers?

Its a great pack, the book to ckeep the cards in is very handy. Only complaint was all the packs inside are wave 1 so for those who already have all of the wave 1 cards its a bit of a waste. Still the book and the magazine make it worth the touble.

Has anyone else got theirs? Have you listened to the CD?

Just got my starter pack through the post from Firebox. (I only ordered it on Sunday evening! Smile )
The Viard CD is a bit weird but not too bad. (The bits I've listened to so far are like an industrial version of Deep Forest.)

Annoyingly, all of the cards included, with the exception of "Elucidate" are cards I already have! I was expecting them all to be Wave 1 cards but to have 23 out of the 24 cards is a bit disappointing. (Before anyone points it out, I still do have quite a number of wave 1 cards to collect!)

So, off to perplexcitytrades to update my profile I go...

I've had an almost identical experience, mine turned up today. I did treat myself to a pack of wave two containing cards too, but got a huge number of duplications (I think I've got six copies of cracked crackers now), although the ones that weren't included three blacks and, coincidentally, Elucidate.

Anyone want three copies of Ishihara...I can't see the flipping thing anway!
