So I asked the mailman, his name is Joe I now know, if he knew anything about the chairs and he said he didn't. But he did say that he remembered that there were already footprints when he got to the house. That was a good clue. I attached a picture of the footprints Valentine and I found.



Valentine and I studied the picture of the letter that Raidar took. It is difficult to read what is being talked about. How is Uncle Seth acting? Does he seem worried? I think that if he isn't worried that you shouldn't be worried.



Yesterday my dad and mom and I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was very good. I do think I like the books better than the movies though. So much more fun to make up the pictures with your magination.

I want to keep looking for my Daddy, but Mommy, Davi and Uncle Seth all say they want me to go. I like to read, because there are lots of places to go and visit. I don't have many paper books here, but I can get books on line from places like Project Guttenberg.

Thank you for the compliment. Was not able to retrieve full copy of letter, location briefcase requires insertion physical key. Stevie reports Seth Adams visiting station to see Dr. Steven Mae to "talk about his work." My fuel consists of battery stored energy, required dock with recharger periodically. Data shows humans also enjoy steak. My incept date February 14, 2004, concurrent Stevie Mae incept date anniversary.

 		I sent Stevie a email yesterday with a message for Raider saying if he is having trouble getting a clear picture of the letter then maybe they should use Davina's scanner.
I got this reply today.

Is there algae in the water of the pool you swim at? Dr. Martha would say that algae are good and they help remove toxins from the water. But they have to have other things in the water that keep the algae from growing too much, because then it can become a problem and clog the strainers and filters that the water passes through before it goes to the recycling tank. This water helps flush stuff through the sewer pipes that the toilets, showers and sinks are connected to.

I'm not allowed to go outside on the asteroid surface. Only the Maintenance crews go outside. But I have to wear my suit to get on and off the New Dawn at Port Rosetta. It is just a caution to keep us safe if there is ever a leak and Port Rosetta loses all its air. It takes me 45 minutes to get into my suit. First I have to put on the liner which is all slippery. Then I have to put on the air suit. It's like having water wings all over your body. It is has a crocheted sweater over it that can be adjusted with strings at my waist, elbows, knees, ankles and wrists. Then I have to put on the outside cover of the suit. Mommy and Davina have to check all the seals where the legs attach to the boots and arms attach to the gloves for my hands, and where the pants attaches to the shirt, and that the helmet is sealed properly. Do you know that space suits have built in sun visor and it is made of Gold? It is to reflect the sun and radiation that we can't see. Gold is used for the visor because of its ability to conduct heat even at low temperature. The visors needed to be warm enough to defrost and keep them from fogging up while at the same time not make the wearer sweat. I'm just glad that we don't need to hook up what Davina calls the "plumbing fixtures." That would be for things like going to the bathroom if we had to stay in the suits all day long. Mommy says that catheters can lead to infections, and that if there is ever that kind of emergency that I can't take off my suit for all day, I should just make a mess in my suit, because skin is washable. The suit will be all yucky afterward, but the layers can be taken apart for cleaning. In one pocket is a compass, and in another is a metal mirror. Daddy says mirrors can be used to send messages too. Wearing the suit feels a lot like wearing too many coats and hats and gloves and too many pairs of socks inside your shoes.

All the buildings are inside the asteroid, except for two things. One is Port Rosetta, so the New Dawn can come inside. The other is Environmental Systems at the other end of the Asteroid, the solar panels will connect to the inside through there and the Heating/Cooling towers have pipes that go outside to help regulate the temperature inside the station. The buildings are really just sections, and each one has a double door system in case there is a problem with air leaking out of the station. Then all the doors get closed and you have to open one door, and go through to the space between the doors, close the door you just walked through, then you can open the other door. It is called an Air Lock and it is an important safety thing. Inside the Air Lock are extra masks with little bottles of air and extra emergency kits.

Mommy said we need to learn to be respectful of each other's faiths, because we would like them to be respectful of ours. But I like winter here, nearly every day the chefs make special holiday foods from a different country. Some are for dinner but many of them are desserts. Have you ever had Baklava? It has many, many layers of pastry and has chopped up nuts and cinnamon and sugar, and lemon, and honey. It is really good. I wish they would make it every day.

There was also a very interesting photo. We have seen it before but Stevie said her dad took it. This is the one of the photo's mentioned in a newsletter from CARTS.

 		I think it's safe to say that Steven is indeed anti-Orbicon and discovered something.

Does anybody else think that Steven must be somewhere outside of the asteroid? In one of those nice suits? I could imagine that he is in the Environmental Systems complex. However, I would not suggest to bring this up as long as we have reason to think that Steven doesn't want to be found.

This doesn't make as much sense as I'd like it to...if he is hiding he must be at some place he can be sure not to be found so fast. The ES sounds like the second choice judging from Stevie's e-mail. Or is there a reason why they wouldn't look for him there?

 		The other thing about environmental suits is that, in my experience*, they're not good for very long periods of time, and would need to be left or at least recharged at some point (probably by now, at least).

 		I just want to add to the pot that we have to remember that if something too horrible were going on Steven would not have left his family on the station. At least that is what i believe. At this point I think that if we can contact him we should. Not that we can or anything, but you get the idea.

I don't know if that even made any sense. Hrmmmm

 		Keeping our theories about Steven hiding on purpose.. and maybe workign against Orbicon.. a secret is a VERY good idea for now. We're still not entirely sure who we can trust.. we THINK we can trust Seth, I beleive we can, but we can't be sure yet.

Heck, even if Stevie could fully understand our concerns we can't confide in her because she, as a kid, may let something slip to someone else who isnt trustworthy.

That does not sound like a nine year old speaking. Is Raidar taking liberties with Stevies messages to make them more coherent, or is someone else sending us messages through Raidar?

 		I think you can assume that it is Raidar talking, like Stevie says.

And I also didn't get the part about buildings inside the asteroid any earlier than now. I understood that the asteroid is some sort of anchor for the space station, but then again, Stevie said "outside of the asteroid" multiple times or was it just "outside"? Not sure.

The rock is a good insulation that keeps the walls on the outside a constant temperature. She said that at least Professor Bronco was thinking when he decided to put the station inside the asteroid.

 		If Steven is in Environmental System he needs a suit. I'd suggest that Seth is checking the suits for a missing one, perhaps Steven had one of his own, anyway. Those pipes sound like a possible escape/hiding route. Although I have no idea how Steven wants to hide in space. He can't stay in the pipes very long, I guess.

I know we now think that the "hiding" part in the letter was a joke, but I'm still not fully convinced that Steven was abducted or imprisoned and I think it's possible that he escaped before that could happen so that he is in fact hiding now.

Now if only we could solve this damnable luck puzzle...
