Today's email from Stevie to my 'daughter':

Yeah, she was familiar with the book. I think she may have told Uncle Seth what I might like. It's just a very long story.

-We don't have a Christmas tree this year because my little brother will just tear it up.

It's too 'spensive to bring real trees up to the station, so we have some fake ones. The Bubble Bop has a small one, and the Cafeteria has a great big one. We can even put our presents under it, and everyone can open them together Christmas morning. They are making a special brunch for it.

-Sometimes the mommies take turns teaching all the kids and they get to do fieldtrips with other kids who are homeschooled.

That is what we do here. There are just a few kids now, so our parents take turn teaching us, and some of the other people here will help with some classes. Like Davina teaches art, and Dr. Martha teaches us science. My daddy teaches math.

-Have you been to Arizona?

I've never been to Arizona. We went to a museum in Illinois once. I wonder if Phoenix is named for the bird that burns itself up and gets reborn. Mommy says that it isn't the heat it's the humidity that makes hot and cold temperatures so bad. On the station Dr. Martha says that the Garden helps control the humidity, making the air moist when it is dry, and acting like a sponge for the days there is a too much water in the air.

Today we made taffy in the cafeteria before we had out lunch, they cook a lot of sugar and stuff together and then we got to pull it and pull it until it was all shiny and white. After we ate our lunch, which was my favorite, Hot Dogs, we got to eat some of the taffy! The rest was put away to eat at the Holiday party on Friday.

-The bunnies here are not our pets. We never see them.

Do you ever put out carrots for them to eat? Then they could eat them like bugs bunny!

I have to go now, Mommy says I need to get ready for bed soon.
