It's official folks.
After many years of touch and go cryptic talk hinting at it not being canon, we finally have a finite answer.

Towards the middle of the episode (28:00 about), there is an interview with Franky. He spills the good news about "Embracing ILB as cannon"

Obviously all the beekeepers (and those of us that wish we had been) are a bit biased, but I still think that makes it pretty darn clear that Bungie - or at the very least Frankie - considers ILB to be canon.

I think that's the key - at least Frankie. Mis-statements have happened before. His comments are quite hopeful, but I guess I'm like 99% belief right now - when Bungie officially says that ILB is canon, then I'll rest Wink
