I just sent Robert Langdon an e-mail, this is what I got:

Thank you for writing. I apologize for this automated
response, but I am currently in Florence attempting
to locate the key to "The Prophecy" - an encoded
parchment that may have been written by Leonardo Da
Vinci. I will respond to your message upon my return.

Sincerely,

Robert Langdon

Jonas,

If this is you, DON'T erase this email - I can only
send it once. Something terrible has happened. I was
attacked outside my hotel, and the parchment was
stolen! I think the thieves intend to auction it on-
line. I don't have reliable web access here, and I
need your help. You must find this auction
immediately and track down the parchment. Here are
the two best art-related auction sites:

http://www.auctionport.com
http://www.relic-bay.com

When you search, you should definitely include the
initials "LSPDV" because they are so rare. Please do
everything in your power to locate the parchment
soon - I must get it back. I'm getting very close to
uncovering the key to the code.

- Robert

oh HO, I smell an interesting campagin coming on Very Happy

Sorry for so many posts, I just got some more things:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
At the bottom of the Relic-bay page, there is the Depository bank of Zuric, type in Marie Denarnaud for the username, and the Fibonacci sequence, its 1123581321. Thats all I got now, there's a number. Not sure to call it or not.

I just signed into her account and got this....

Quote:
POLICE JUDICIAIRE DE FRANCE

100 Place Beauvau
75008 Paris

Dear Mademoiselle Marie Denarnaud,
I regret to inform you that we have impounded the contents of your box. The parchment you purchased on-line was stolen. It belongs to a U.S. symbologist, Robert Langdon. We have been unable to reach Mr. Langdon directly, but we have returned his parchment to him in care of his editor Jonas Faukman at the Doubleknight Publishing Group in New York. Mr. Faukman anticipates your concern and is eager to speak to you at your earliest convenience. He can be reached in his office at (212) 782-9920. He urged you to phone him regardless of the hour.

The last 6 posts are from Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code online trail that can be found on his website. Not and ARG and not related to seekthecodes.com

Not the same...we know

We are not talking about the webtrail associated with the movie, this is a seperate entity. The blog site www.seekthecodes.com has been updated with a new entry, providing the cryptographers e-mail address.

Well, I e-mailed her and got this in response.

The capitilzed letters spell "Seek the dials", so that is what we are trying to find with the clues.

Is anyone looking into this?

Repeat, this is NOT the webquest associated with the book, this is something completely new. I think that "Seek the dials" refers to some kind of cryptex such as that invented by Da Vinci. I have had no luck finding this yet, but I think the password to unlock it is "Vincenzo" based on the clues on the www.seekthecodes.com site.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

The coding system for "La Profezia" is a classic.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Left, middle and right dots in a tic-tac-toe board means 9 x 3 = 27.

But, using the general letter placement of:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ABC|DEF|GHI
----------------
JKL|MNO|PQR
----------------
STU|VWX|YZ-

Gives:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Of D
O (M/N) Pof
(Q/R) Gii (A/B) D
O (K/L) F C
G (J/K) U--V

I predict to get something rational, we should:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Treat it as a cryptogram, and assume the letters were arranged differently on the grid.

It's on here and here. It took me awhile to figure out which website it was on too.
