Stranger adventures redux I signed up for stranger adventures but didn't have the time to keep up with it. But today I recived this letter via snail mail. I'v attached a scan.
The WEBSITE has been updated for this new game. There's now a prize of $25,000. Good luck every one. And hopefully I'll have a bit of time to look into this one my self.
Edit: I tried logging in and it said "ian hollister will be contacting you april 2".
So I guess that's when it starts.

Out of curiosity - did anyone get their money yet from the first one?

Do you know this for a fact because you work with the company or because you were one of the ones to receive money and thus you believe that everyone else was paid as well? I know there were people who have been registered on this board for a while that were in the winner's circle and I'm kinda interested in hearing directly from them that they received their money. Not that I don't trust you or anything, but it means a little more to me coming from a person that I've talked to once or twice in the past.

Personally, I am refraining from playing this game (and I hope others would also) until we see proof that the previous winners actually got paid. Of course, after that happens I'm totally in. But until then, sorry...

Actually, I haven't been paid yet. Though I was away for a bit and didn't get my w-9 in until last friday. Did other winners get their money?

I actually didn't send my w-9 in until a couple of days ago.

I know I'm only posting as a Guest, same as in the other thread, but I did receive the check yesterday. The game is being sponsored by Prudential Realty this time, so I have to believe prizes will be paid accordingly.

I post this, and about an hour later the mail comes with a check from Riddle Productions in it. So, at the very least I'm happy

Interview with the Stranger Adventures writers...
http://www.writersstore.com/article.php?articles_id=712
An interesting bit...
Quote:
How is "Stranger Adventures" different from an Alternate Reality Game?
ARGs are big multimedia platforms that you push into the world and as you find out more about it, the world often pushes back. If you find a global positioning system (GPS) coordinate, something will be revealed at that time. ARG has an element where players must be so invested that they keep pushing forward. That's the whole alternate reality thing. On the other hand, our show is a show. It's a complete experience that has a beginning, a middle and an end. It finishes. Basically, our show is for people who want to go online and have a great time.

Thanks for the reminder. I've been looking for an unsubscribe in the barrage of emails they send out and your post nudged me to go to their site, find the unsubscribe page and finish the job.
It seems like fun for some folks, but it's just not me.
