If I gave you the answer, how would you feel? If I told you that I have already given you the answer (atleast the most important part of it), how would you feel?

I said that you already knew what the answer was, Mr. Nielsen. How would I know this and be able to tell you what I have?

Read what I have written. Not as words, Mr. Nielsen, but as clues. Not just in this e-mail, but in the others as well. The answer is staring you in the face, you were right about that. You just need to be aware of its existance to see it.

so yeah,,,im missing something...we all are...man this is bugging me.

also the signature on /drawing.html has changed to "Neo"

Things may change, but the results are always the same. See if you can understand it now.

LAX

P.S. Take the new puzzle and look at what I have written to you. Things should be much clearer now

This is pretty deep...and strange. I'll have more time to think about all of this later on this evening, hopefully. Very interesting though...(it's great that 'LAX' seems to really trust Blaqueice though, since he's sending him all these e-mails...that's a good sign!)

Rearrangement of neo gives "one"

Using this as the new html gives:

http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/one.html

revealing another page:

Quote:
She was the "popular by association" girl in school. Me? Well, I was more or less treated as a humanoid form of

the plague. And it wasn't because I was a strange person. I just missed "the goth look is in" phase of fashion

evolution by a couple of years is all.

Not much has changed over the past 8 years. She went to an in-state college, moved and then came back,

with a boyfriend none the less. I went on to GED fame and got a job as a file clerk - a perfect place for

someone of my sociological stature. I guess that even in the business world I am still considered someone

best suited to be kept hidden. Maybe they think I'll scare the kids in the company's "babysitting" room (which

I attempt successfully to accomplish whenever possible).

She still exists in my life. However, she is unaware of this fact. She is in my dreams, my every thought. There is not

a moment in my life where, at some point in time, her name does not penetrate my cranium.

That is what led me to take notice of the file in the first place. Every day I look at those files. I see the names,

check the case closed dates, make sure all the paperwork has been signed and then file them away, like the

good trained space monkey that I am..

The average "time of closure" is around 3 months, given an ample supply of effort and manpower. But her

case was closed in two weeks. It was like they didn't even try to investigate the claim that man phoned in.

Now to work out where this is all leading us...

Just realised where the original clue was that LAX was talking about when he(?) said:

There are many possible answers. However, only one is correct. As soon as you figure out which one that is, you will know for whom I am doing this for.

LAX

How could we have missed it?

Ai Ya!! Good work!! That was quite clever. So, the information on the ONE.HTML page is written by LAX and is about him, right? The guy running the whole contest and who eventually wants us to find 16 posters, right?

I guess so. I'm wondering if maybe the name of the girl that's discussed is hidden in some of the writing somewhere. Even in the emails or other messages.

Truly...there's probably a LOT of clues to other things that we've overlooked or have as-of-yet not figured out yet...There's a lot going on, and it's going to take me a bit of time to wrap my head all around it Exclamation

It was also in his new signature "Neo". Good job finding the new page.

aaahhh I knew it...it was just one of those things that are so simple that you can't see them b/c you are looking to deep. Oh well, good job on finding the answer maevey..I guess that is what the forums are for...I fired an email over to lax saying we found it and asked some questions about the new page...about the girl...the case...the phone call....so hopefully some answers will come back and we can start to wrap our heads around this.

also I thought I should notice that our friend has added something to /drawing.html

"alxynqwcii"

Excellent! He seems to really e-mail you a lot, so it's great that you've let him know that the one.html page was discovered...I'm really quite interested in finding out who this 'girl' is...it sounds like either she's missing or...dead Sad maybe...

got the email....but we're going to need to solve his "alxynqwcii" puzzle before we get any hard info.

Quote:
Jack Trevor to me

When you solve my current puzzle, you will learn the name of the girl that I am doing this for. She was my one true love, even though she did not pay too much attention to me. I guess that's what I like in a woman, a challenge.

One of the questions that you asked I have not been able to answer. However, I will now:

This man, whose name you will learn, called a "tip" into the company that I work for. Why he chose us, I'll never know. The "tip" was to report his girlfriend (the one I have mentioned) missing. The file that I am talking about, and the one that I will soon be showing you, was the record that the company that I work for kept on the "tip", as well as the ensuing investigation.

The company that I work for usually spends a good 3 months investigating such claims. This time around, they only spent 2 weeks.

I have asked my superiors about this aparent lack of interest. What they told me, in a nutshell, was to mind my own business and file the report like I'm supposed to. So I did, but not before making copies.

I have seen her around town since filing the report, so I know that my company was right about closing the file so quickly. Maybe they spotted her or went to her house and found her home. Who knows?

It's not the fact that my company decided to close the case so fast that concerns me. It's the reason why the man would call the "tip" into us in the first place if he knew she was still around?

This is what I'll be finding out for you over the next month or so. I should have some answers for you then.

Great work! Hmmm...there are a LOT of uncommon letters in "alxynqwcii"...and only 3 vowels! Any ideas if it's going to be just a first name, or a first and last name? Maybe the letters need to be substituted somehow...

i dont think it has to be a name at all....but I did get another email that might help.

Quote:
Jack Trevor to me

Who I am today is a result of what I was in the past. Our experiences, our influences, the people that we hung around with. These things have made us who we are.

One of my best kept secrets is that I used to be able to tell you everything about your past from how you are as person today. I say "used to" because age has hindered my abilities to focus on such things.

There is a moral to this story that should help you in your quest. Think about the moral and the rest should be easy.

Since there isnt one yet I am going to start a chat/discusion at

LAX is wondering why more of your arent emailing him... I think it would be a great idea if everyone who reads this sends an email to him asking him a question about the puzzle, or anything that you are wondering about. here's his email.

lax1742SPLATyahoo.com

Quote:
Off topic... why is it that only you contact me about such things? I understand that I am used to living alone and hold no grudge against those who choose not to make contact with me. However, I find it quite amusing that one has chosen to lead while the many follow. I thought for sure that more people would be curious about what I have written after seeing the hit count for the one.html page. But so is my life, I assume.

Quote:
I just don't want them to think that just writing to you means that I won't write to them. One other person has written to me besides you. That sort of tells me that some people are holding back their thoughts and they should be willing to express them if they feel the desire to.Some could have questions that you haven't asked yet, you just never know.

LOX

I mean...look at all the help we get when he emails me, i think if he was emailing little clues to everyone this whole thing would move much smoother....even if you dont have a question you should get yourself known to him. though a question concerning /one.html or this new puzzle would probably help us out more.
I thought it was weird that he signed this one "LOX"...a typo? or does it mean something?

Quote:
LOX? Did I put that there? How odd of me to do such a thing (insert innocent grin here).

There is one thing that LOX have that LAX does not. Do you know what that is? (Don't say "O").

My answer was "keys"..........(locks)....i wonder what kind of response that will get.

Okay! I'll try e-mailing him and see if he sends me anything in return...you're right, these e-mails have been a lot of help. (I'll have to think about the moral to that story...I'm sure we can all figure it out!)
