I'm in, logged as my name here.
After guesting and ghosting through Sable & Shuck I thought it was time to register!
Let's hope it's interesting!

I'm in as well. Same name as here. This looks as though it will be pretty interesting.

Here's the link to the background image: http://www.findaraya.com/darkerbg.jpg
Its the dark one, havn't found a light one yet. But the following is all the info I could glean from the picture:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From what I can make out in it it talks mostly about schools. The bottom news clipping is dated the (28th?) 1962 and makes referance to a St. Coleman High School commencement excersize involving 128 students at what is either 5 o'clock, or 8 (I can't quite make it out, it looks like "S o'clock")
A few names from that clipping are: Roy Mahnffey (or possibly Mahaffoy or Mahnffoy), Linfield college, Val Humble, and someone named Joanne Chap-something.
To the right of that clipping is what looks like a map with the names: Harrow and Hillington
Above the article is another that says something involving a kindergarden and the time 9:45 am.
To the right of that article is a torn piece of binder paper with the word "Mile" and the numbers 020754547(or possibly 3 for the last number, it's cut off half way)
Above and to the left of that is a piece of paper with 3 stamps, 2 of which read "CAIRE", the 3rd is too hard to make out.
That piece of paper is on top of a map (anyone recognize it?)
To the left of that map is a certificate from the Texas Historical Commission stating that a theater (possibly the Rig?) is registerd as something historical.
there's a picture of a subway terminal below that, and a few newspaper clippings to the left of it. But one of the more interesting things is the document below the subway picture, its what looks like a wireing diagram? or blue prints?
And what does this all mean? I have absolutely no freaking clue! And I doubt that it has any vital info in it. But ya never know.

Those two look like maps of the same area to me. Their top left corners are similar.

I think that's the postage mark for Cairo, Egypt.

The map is of London, the Thames river is quite distinct on it.
The small simple map of Harrow/Hillingdon is a detail of part of the north west of this map, near Wembley.

Although it is probably worthwhile to figure out what is in the background of the picture, it is my belief that we are waiting for some more clues to come out. I wrote a comment to the latest entry on Sarah's blog and asked for some information on Araya (recent picture, where were her laste whereabouts etc.).
I'm curious whether Sarah will respond in her blog.

I'm in too, as Azure. James put his PDA up on the mainpage. Nothing special so far, just a password protected site that is VERY easy to get into (just look closely) which gives you his contact info if you can get in.
It also seems he wants promotion for his site. For every 500 people we bring to the site, he claims he'll add a new feature to his PDA, whatever we decide we want on it. And it looks like things won't be in full swing until January 26th, or at least a section of his PDA says that.

I just got an email from Mr Pearson.
Quote:
Hello,
First of all, I would like to thank you for signing up to assist me in this
case. At the moment the details on the Araya case are few and far between.
I am conducting initial investigations at the moment. I want to make sure
that anyone who helps with the case has the most reliable evidence to work
from.
Araya has never been missing before and there is no information on her in
any police records. I have been trying to locate someone from her family,
but have had no luck so far. I hope this will change now that I've got
people like you working on the case.
The police are not treating her disappearance as suspicious as it appears
she left of her own accord, so I would ask you to kindly not contact them
again regarding this case as I am sure they are busy enough over the
Christmas period with their own investigations.
Thank you for your concern so far; its great to know there are so many
people who want to help find Araya. I want you to all know I'll be working
non-stop on this case over the festive period ready for the investigation to
begin fully in the New Year. (Looks like I'll be sitting down to a TV dinner
alone again this Christmas)
Anyway, I want you to try and have a nice Christmas. Try not to worry I just
want to make sure you have the most accurate information available to you
when the investigation commences in January.
Thank you and remember to check back at www.findaraya.com for details on the
case.
James Pearson (Private Investigator)
P.S- I have left my PDA device on the main page at www.findaraya.com, I hope
it may be of use to you during the investigation.
I see the PDA has already been found, but still.. its an interaction
I think we can say for SURE that this is an ARG now.

Thats all there seems to be to do at the moment, Amber, besides filling out a comment under "Get in touch" link off the main page.
