Well, looks like we have a little breathing space before Scarlett is going to share anything with us....but I think that we *really* need to see that information which she pulled out of Viendenbourg. It might well be faked (c'mon, someone had to say it *g*) but she clearly has some worrying discoveries.

What's the opinion on Sente then - as it seems Scarletts unavailable, maybe we should confront the man himself? I know, obviously not the brightest move, but simply letting this info lie until Scarletts recovered seems like such a waste.

This is all very, very fishy. It was going to be from the beginning, but still, it reeks of something nasty. Especially Scarlett not going back. We should give her the space she wants, but the she returns to contact, we grill her quicker than a frehs salmon. Dig?

So... Fitzgerald, eh? If that's actually Scarlett and she's actually telling the truth, then our question has been answered with a much, much larger question: why is Sente involved in uncharted military affairs, and is he involved in Claire's disappearance? This is also in conjunction with what exactly is going on there in the first place!

As a final note, I believe we may want to discount Scarlett as a source of information from here on in, unless we have no choice. But, at least it would be safe to assume she's OK.

But, what we need is a test. I say we start asking questions from information only Scarlett once she's back, like maybe inconsequential stuff from the leaked e-mails. It would just be good to get as clear a sense of whether or not this is actually Scarlett, and not some shifty military trying to tie loose ends over the blog...

I'm just excited because there seems to be a medium-sized lump of action as a preperation for some crazy Part II, post-holiday hooplah.

Or maybe they really are just a wee bit daft at viendenbourg. They honestly think their systems are effeective enough at keeping whoever out. And, to be perfectly honest, I'm given to agree. Scarlett didnt really get *that* fFar inside. she met a low-level prisoner and was caught and held at weapon-point. I think realistically the guards had been tracking her the second she walked in the fFront gate, and when they fFigured out who she was, they brought her in to meet fFitzy.

On the subject of base security systems, realize it doesnt really take much. Everyone talks about area 51 and fFort knox other notable military installations. However those really are show pieces. There are fFar more secure military bases you have never heard of, and it is because you have never heard of them that they are so secure. Having grown up on an air-force base, the military doesnt really need all that much to surround a compound in order to present the idea of "security". Nevermind the fFlashy guy with a gun posted at the main entrance. There is usually, fFor example, a number of small walking paths in and out of a complex fFor children to go to school and stuff. And there's always at least 2 back entrances which are largely unguarded.

Yeah, I know, it seems goofy that this kid waltzed in and noone noticed. But really, getting a person or two inside a military compound is remarkably incredibly absurdly easy. And scarlett even had a magic clipboard! hold a clipboard in your hand and walk around like you are supposed to be there and noone will ever question you.

"Secure" would be the low-slung grey building with the drilling, which she went no-where near. That was a wise move on her part. too bad of course, cos now we don't know what they are drilling fFor. All in good time.

I think the question of how compromised Scarlett may be depends on the sophistication of Perplexian memory altering techniques. The existance of Sharp Red, and the mind control techniques on the Viard CD, suggests that they might be quite sophisticated, which raises the ugly possibility that they could have brainwashed her in some way.

However I'd be willing to accept that they are not that good yet, because a number of situations have already come up where the conspiracy(s) would happily have altered people's minds and haven't done so

We should keep an idea on Allain. I am willing to bet that he won't remember part of what happened to him at the base. If he *does* remember everything then its probably worse, since it makes it more likely that they have given him a false memory!

Oh I love (or hate) double-think!

Bottom line though, we *cannot* trust Sente.
