Andrew,

I finally have a few minutes to answer some of your questions about Rasmussen. Sorry for the delay, but I've been battling the security department all day.

"Clearly foul-play is afoot with him...I mean, the station personnel have medical check ups twice a month, right? If this was a problem that could have occured naturally it have been noticed. So either someone did somethign TO him to put him in this coma... or he did it to himself.. either way to prevent questioning."

This is definitely one of the theories I'm pursuing. Unfortunately, until Cordelia figures out exactly what caused his current state I won't know if this is a definite possibility. Rasmussen was quite agitated during the interrogation. He insisted that he had nothing to do with the break-in despite being shown the video we retrieved from Raidar. Since the punishment for breaking and entering isn't severe, his total denial tells me he must be protecting someone or has a higher agenda. At the time I took his agitation as a sign that he was wearing down from the interrogation, but now I'm not so sure. I doubt he would have ever admitted to breaking into that room.

"Who had access to him before you interviewed him?"

Several people from the security department talked to Rasmussen before I did. I think the only reason they let me have a chance was because he wasn't giving them anything and were ready to give up. At first I was irritated that they insisted on recording the interrogation because I had to restrict my questioning, but when he collapsed on the table I was grateful for the proof that I didn't have anything to do with it. Thankfully, security has finally granted me access to the video so I can review the interrogation. Hopefully, I'll find something I missed.

"Of course.. finally.. as I asked before. Why the heck was he after Raidar?"

I wish I knew. One thought is that he wanted to disable Raidar. I hate to think that's the case because the only reason I can see for disabling him is to loosen security around the Mae household. Another possibility is that Rasmussen wanted to install some sort of surveillance program on Raidar. If Bronco was behind this, it would make sense that he would try to find a way to keep tabs on me and my investigation.

By the way, has there been any progress on the current puzzle? I stopped by the brainstorming chatroom to throw around a few ideas and no one was there. Is there a certain time when people stop by to brainstorm?

Seth

We missed him in #InquiringMinds! Curse me and being sick so the channel doesnt stay open!! I'll be better I promise!

I'll also respond and tell him times that we have the highest concentration of people usually around and ask him to tell us what time range works best for him so we can make sure to have someone watching the channel...

This tells my wild SPEC side something else. I SPEC'd in another thread that Bronco's nanobots were behind the coma. Let's take this a bit further:

[SPEC]
Bronco develops nanobots that are small enough to inject into a human without negative effects. Bronco is able to remotely control his nanobots and direct them to take certain actions in the brain. Perhaps the nanobots can restrict certain memories or even control people's actions. Rasmussen could be lying to protect his employer, but to me it smells more like he really didn't believe the video he was watching. So either he was ordered to break in and his memory was wiped or he wasn't in control of his body during the break in.
[/SPEC]
