[UPDATE] 1/2 Seth's Journal

Rasmussen update
Well, the good news is that Rasmussen is awake. He finally came out of his coma, but the bad news is he then suffered from a stroke. Cordelia bent the rules a bit and let me visit Rasmussen to see if I could get him to talk. I didn't have much time, but he didn't seem to remember anything from the last two weeks. He didn't even remember going through the interrogation. I showed him the tape, but didn't tell him he had been arrested or that he had done anything wrong. I only asked him if he remembered the events on the tape. He said he didn't recognize the room in the video. When I told him it was Stevie's room, he looked puzzled as to why he would have been there. Since he didn't flatly deny it like he did when I interrogated him, I think I believe his loss of memory is genuine. Cordelia said his memory may come back in time so we'll just have to wait for his brain to recover from the stroke.

Stevie and I have discovered something interesting about Raidar. When she tried to open Raidar's locked compartment, the password no longer worked. After confirming that neither Cordelia nor Stevie changed the password, we know that Steven changed it himself before I arrived on the station. There are too many combinations to try at random so I am hoping that we will be given the password at the end of Steven's puzzle trail. We need to solve the rest of the puzzles. I'm only hoping that there aren't many more left.

I'm becoming concerned about recent events on the station. I don't believe that the audio was accidentally erased from the Rasmussen interrogation as the security department claims. I believe someone deliberately removed evidence. That can only mean one thing - someone is trying to clean up after themselves.

The Inept & Rasmussen?
It has been brought to my attention that The Inept has posted a news story on their site about the Orbicon drugs, Accrescossin and Accrescarnin, and the possibility that the FDA will not approve their use. I'm currently looking into this claim to see if it is based on fact, but it does seem a bit convenient that such an article was posted at the same time Rasmussen, a diabetic, suffered from a coma. The background check on Rasmussen didn't show any links to the Inept, but perhaps I missed something? I only wish I knew if contacting the Inept would help or hurt the investigation. If Rasmussen is a member of the Inept, it would mean that they did have access to the station and could have done something to Steven. I'm going to look a bit closer to see if I can find any link between Rasmussen and The Inept.

The Final Puzzle
The email response from the Quiz puzzle included a link to the page Finis which is password protected. The password prompt says "Dr. Awkward : I prefer pi: 341406327726570427 Access Denied".

grumpyboy also emailed me the solve to this puzzle...

SOLUTION:

enaxor first noticed that "Dr. Awkward" and "I prefer pi" are palidromes. At first we were thinking that perhaps the username is "palindrome(s)" and the password is the relationship between "341406327726570427" and "Access denied".
But I couldn't find any relationship so I started digging to see what that number might be. It kinda looks like a prime number but it's actually the product of 2 prime number, both of which are palindromes as well (palprimes!). The 2 numbers are 345676543 and 987646789 which are the username and password we need.

These 2 numbers were the answers to the soduku puzzle Steven put in the September station newsletter.

Once the password prompt is bypassed the final page can be accessed. This text is shown on the page...

Seth,
By now, you've seen a few of the minor pieces of evidence I've accumulated over the years. I'm sorry that I had to make you jump through all the puzzle hoops to get to them. I couldn't hide all of what I found behind the puzzles, even with all of my precautions. I hope that Stevie was able to help you on some of the puzzles. She was one of my "extra" precautions. I knew that by having Stevie crucial to some of the solves, that only the people I trust could get to this page. Anyone can make their way through a standard puzzle trail eventually. Unfortunately, if you've made your way to this page something horrible has happened to me. Whatever has happened, I hope that you have found my bundle of evidence and can soon take down Bronco. If you don't have it, don't worry. I've set up a bit of a backup plan for this situation. I've stashed copies of the rest of my evidence in several places down on Earth. Look in Raidar's maintenance folder for the file named "repairshops".

Can you do me a favor, old friend? Take care of Cordelia and Stevie for me, okay? Tell Cordelia that I love her with all my heart and that I'm sorry that this turned out the way it did. I never meant for it to tear our family apart. I wanted to bring Bronco down so we could be free to live our lives the way we wanted to. Let Stevie know that I'll always be there for her, even if she can't see me. Tell her that's a "Daddy Promise".

Steven

Stevie and I accessed the file named "repairshops" on Raidar this morning, although I'm not sure we've found the correct file. This one seems to be just static.
