Note that came with the Fairy Book

As you know I won the book A Day in Fairy Land and somehow forgot to post the note signed by Sarah that I found in the book.

It goes like this:

A book of beautiful pictures
Numbers of fairies and elves on each leaf;
For those who would read,
There is plenty indeed,
In a story that questions belief,

Each paragraph may hold surprises
Inthe words and letters you see;
As the story unfolds
The secret they hold
Can be found by the one with the key

Signed by SW

I am going to try and have the book scanned and then put up here for everyone to see.

Puzzle Book Code

In Barjavel's "Le grand secret" there is one code discussed in some detail, the "book code" in which one refers to letters by the page, line, and position of each letter. In that story, the particular
book used is a specific rare edition of the bible.

In this case the key may well be this book, A Day in Fairyland.
And the 5 "digit" codes might tie into this.

Book: A Day in Fairy Land

In response to AbuAmaal post, I don't have the book with me now. A friend from work is scanning it for me onto a disc. Now you got me wondering about that poem that came with it. Unfortunately, the friend and I are both off from work tomorrow, so I won't get the disc till Monday, which means I can upload till Monday night after 6:00pm.

I hope something turns up before then.

Referece: Dale's e-mail from psammead on May 30.

perhaps by counting pages
and writing down names you find
a pattern will grow clear to you
and trigger something in your mind

these names made up of numbers
are quite intentional in size
they're meant to show there's two on each
one on either side

the names tell you which two are there
now find what they become
the plus sign has a purpose
but it's not to find a sum

SPEC: Put what we find in the book with the quick redirect sums pages at Greyweathers.com maybe we can get at least one valid login or more?

MORE SPEC:

the numbers are the two pages to see the names at
1 + 6.htm = page 1 + page 6 (solve the cipher)

1 + 2 + 6 = 10 = page 1 + page 2 + page 6 "and" the one on page 10
(solve first for 1 +2 +6, then add that result to page 10?)

OH, my brain is starting to come out my ears Exclamation

Any word yet on those pictures of the A Day in Fairy Land book yet? I can't wait to see them.

I hope that the book brings a solution to the 'non sum' puzzle, i've been tearing my hair out the past week heh, something seems a little amiss tho' - it was meant to be posted a week ago, maybe the scanning strangers dog ate it! Shocked

i'm wondering whether the lafontaine/mail house puzzle was added specially or brought forward as a diversion because we don't have this information yet?
