So Igor has done something, and Steven knows about it. Apparently he has known about it for awhile. So I guess Steven's disappeared because of Igor....

During the 1970's the world was shocked to discover Near Earth Objects that orbit the sun, some with paths so radical that they cross very close to our Earth on a regular basis. One such object may have been the one that hit in the Yucatan basin area and caused the demise of the dinosaurs.

NASA was startled to discover that an asteroid would be coming extremely close to Earth on one such pass, and even if it did not strike the world directly it would still cause massive upheavals that would threaten life and civilization as we know it. The discovery of the asteroid was a furiously guarded secret. The U.S. government did not want the public to know about this impending disaster. They knew such information would create widespread panic.

NASA hired a group of specialists with various areas of knowledge to assist them in finding a way to deflect the asteroid. One such private contractor was Dr. Igor Bronco, who worked closely with Dr. Keith Gulliver of NASA to plot its trajectory and develop a mechanism to push the asteroid into a different orbit, one that would no longer threaten the earth. NASA wanted as few people to know about the impending disaster as possible, so only these elite group of researchers, named the Asteroid Deflection Team (ADT) knew all of the details.

Peopel are workign on decoding the Steps in the movie right now..

I'm going to email Seth. This should get him on our side.. I will NOT mention how we got the picture of the letter Steven sent him.

 		I've emailed Seth, lettign him now about our discoveries.. vaguely. He should easily be able to find what we found now. I'l let you all know if I get a reply

I've also todl him that, while he may not be able to talk to us about cases (as he said to me in an earlier email), we can certainly talk to him and will. I've told him we will continue to try and help.

You've got that right. I don't know how many times I've listened to this and I still can't hear the 3-1-1. To me, there is a definite pause after the 2nd step. I can "walk" all the other steps with my fingers, but not that sequence.

The plan was to load the head of the rocket going to the asteroid with the micro robots. The rocket would crash into the asteroid at a predetermined spot, releasing the micro robots. They would then begin their work of mining the asteroid. Bronco had told NASA that the micro robots would mine through the asteroid and effectively split it into parts. By doing this the great danger of an earth collision would be eliminated. The resulting asteroid parts would be small enough to be burned up by the earth's atmosphere. Or so we hoped.
