Larry vs Ricky? Whats that? LOL you being sarcastic?

But seriously, i came over wrong before i already said. I'd love to go to the next meet. I actually missed the clapham one because i didnt find out about it in time. So perhaps it is better to discuss with others.

Was the clapham event fun? (sorry to go offtopic)

Larry David and Ricky Gervais having a chat...it's brilliant. Channel 4 now.

Clapham was good fun but we were a bit rubbish...it's a bit off topic, do a search, ask the question and I'll tell you if I enjoyed it. That's what we do here.

"Are you Jewish"

"Do you want to check my Penis?"

Larry vs. Ricky.. no chance, the IIHF gold medal game is on later, Canada vs. Russia. A must watch for all sports fans.

/me apologises for the off-topicness of this post.

You know, I really want to join in here but have nothing new to add, is that bad? ... agree with the whole Kurty was gonna go anyways idea, and Cassandra ~ Prospero? That has been my number one image for Sente since I began! heh And was also gonna write Can I come too, or are girls still not allowed?

But am afraid to be lambasted for not being on topic or something called post-whoring, which, frankly, I have no idea what it is, but meh.

But mostly I just want to be involved, even if it's not in a clever way, so I post and hope to be involved somehow.

Go Kurt, and hello fellows.

I wasn't whining at all; I was proposing an idea to try and keep him safe. He might get the same gas as Mendling on the night of the theft if nobody's got his back. Obviously he'll have emergency contacts at the ready, and I would hope he's got enough sense to record everything he gets; I give Kurt way more credit than that. I was just thinking, possibly, we might get someone else we trust to shadow him from a distance and act as a safety net if things go sour.

You see, people propose ideas if they want to see what others think. It's how group dynamics work. And I thank you for your opinion that my suggestion is a poor idea to execute. But me putting it out is not whining; it's thinking, planning, protecting, analyzing, and suggesting. That's why I didn't go ahead and do anything before I ran it by the rest of Unfiction. And where was all that "shame-on-you" talk for diverging from the majority when you first got here? Hmmmmm?

Hypocrisy... tastes like sour grapes.

And, seriously, travelling performer?
One last thing:

*cough* .. well .. i thought it was a pretty good idea, gaspar. I do add, i'm not sure if it's a good idea to involve even more people, but kurt has hit the nail on the head: he's a geek, not a spy. I've always thought garnet or caine should be the one to go (probably caine -- he's a merry prankster, while garnet has actual ties to the recons and the government and the military and all sorts of untrustworthy sorts). but kurt is good, cos we know he is a definite good guy, yaknow? him stepping up to the plate is a good thing. so a little uhm .. backup is in order. perhaps he can rig something up like what scarlett took with her, eh, like in his key -- or take an extra key just to call fFor emergencies, hidden in his sock .. or something.

*muses* I wonder how many pieces he'll be in when he's found?

EDIT: Although I'm going to be REALLY pissed if they try and pull the whole "Oh, she's an evil baddie, but she's going to really fall in love with him and will reveal the plan, therefore avoiding his big, messy doom" scenario.

I know I'm fairly new here, but could I suggest that instead of mailing him to tell him what to do, we simply send a message of thanks and encouragement? And maybe even an explanation of why he was chosen?

I mean, he lives in PC, he certainly knows what security measures he can apply better than we do, and he's hardly going to not apply anything he thinks might save his life, is he? Encouragement, on the other hand, is unlikely to go amiss. It rarely does.

I really do think at least one message of thanks is in order, since he's putting himself so far on the line for us like this. He might (might) feel somewhat better if he knew just how much we appreciate this. This might be best achieved by loads of people just mailing him direct thanks, but I don't want to start even something small like that without running stuff past here, you've all interacted with these guys much more than I have.

What I *don't* think we should be doing is sending someone else to tail him, or to watch the site, or anything like that. If nothing else (and this is about the best outcome I can think of) he'll never properly trust us again if he finds out.

Ditto Miranda. If we're going to send any suspicious emails to someone about her... let's not have it be him, eh? Violet, if we can't think of anyone else, but I suspect anything we send on the topic, Without Proof, may well just get put down to paranoia.

I second the suggestion for a thank you email.

Kurt should go alone. Email requesting a live connection on the day via his key. If he were to find out we had arranged for him to be tailed/supported, we'd lose a powerful friend.

Travelling Performer, I'd like to second the suggestion of Gaspar that "T.I.N.A.G.". Say it loud, say it proud.

For the record, I sent Kurt a mail too, primarily to apologise for not being entirely truthful with him about the whole Gillit Road enquiry, but also to thank him for putting his neck on the line - and also to ask him (note *ask* *him*) to think about taking a trustworthy companion. I think I said something along the lines of not letting a pretty face guilt trip him into playing the hero.

If anyone is concerned at the content of my email, I can get a copy of it up here for reference once I get home - conscious of the fact that this has been a contentious subject already, I made it very much a suggestion and left the decision entirely up to Kurt - just wanted to make my feelings known on it, *before* he winds up being carried out in several carrier bags.

So, feel free to add my name to the "whiny" list. Or if you prefer, pick an uncomfortable spot, and insert your list Smile

Lots of love,

J

I trust you, Juxta, but I would like to see it anyway.
And, since you guys already mailed Kurt about it, then there's no need for me to.

As long as he doesn't tell (or, God forbid take) Miranda... Laughing
But that would be idiocy on the level of... say, Scarlett! Laughing

Oh, we definitely need more proof of Miranda's intentions. It's all a bit speculative at the moment - but I think Violet dislikes (or at least distrusts) Miranda enough already to side with us on this one.
Mmm, I sense a dubious 'non-love' triangle approaching... Wink

Sneaking a closer look at that scarf might have to wait until she's finished with the diary, though...

[offtopic] I always wondered what TINAG meant.. now i understand. I'm sorry. And maybe i come over as a hypocrite, but i shouldnt judge until i see how you do things. Fresh start?

As for the coming to a live event, gonna be in London Smile See you there.[/back on topic]

I agree that Kurt should be thanked. Although he made it quite clear he wasnt doing it for us.

2ndly, did i miss something. What on earth did Miranda do to suggest she was anything more than Kurts inspiration and something to sidetrack him when hes not involved? I dont see anything "bad" about her, not yet at least.

Violets big problem is she obviously loves Kurt.. she thinks its like a brother, but in the end she'll end up with him no doubt. She is jealous.

I like Miranda, she seems cute.
