Only after I stop posting on here and the game ends Very Happy

Does that mean the forums will be easier to read? I sure hope so. Laughing

I've been using the Lo-Fi version; it's a LOT easier on the eyes...

Just a little update if you want to avoid searching thru all the posts full of crap interesting theories :

the recipe card (front & back) has been made available and confirms the Martinez - Brazil connection by referring to a Brazilian draft beer (Penguin brand, est. 1885) :

All the photos so far :

Probably easier to put in all on a WIKI instead:

Progress compared to other ARGs

I'm really new and so I apologize if this is off-topic or a silly question, but how does the progress and the "reveal of info" in WiBS compare to other ARGs?
I was following The Ballad of Michael Adams and this, by comparison, is very slow. I find the idea that this may be more of an "interactive novel" than an ARG to be intriguing but have no basis of comparison.
For all I know this could be a very quick paced game.
Thanks in advance and it's nice to be here!

Well, a big difference between this ARG and Michael Adams (which has since imploded) is that it has a slower moving, story driven style of play. Michael Adams was just a series of codes tied loosely together by vaque plot.

If you are looking for non-stop action, this isnt the ARG for you. Update days will be every Thursday... dont expect much action any other day.

this is a BAND...wassup with that?

the earliest article on the site refers to two researchers...I'm going to go from there.

I'm unfamiliar with whatever this type of internet game is, but I did click on an ad from a site I visit daily and ended up reading all the Benjamin Stove site. It eventually led me here, and from the above quoted post, to the qr5 website.
They have a cd for sale on CDbaby, and a track listed exactly like this: "Walking in (crop) Circles"
Might be something that brings the qr5 link from debunkette back in game.

so I just can't read that forum, what exactly is the "puzzle" being worked on, and by puzzle I mean the step we need to solve to get to the next piece of the story? I suppose the recipe could be a code...I am not sure where to go next with this...maybe still stage setting. (yes, I know I am being lazy and asking for help, but this forum is too confusing atm. I am sure Rowan will sort it out. : ) )

A cool thing, when imbri was in New York for the LCP event, we saw the exhibit on Photography the perfect medium that the debunkette mentions. It was surprising how easy the photos were to fake and how some people still believed in the frauds, even long after they had confessed.

And I admit that for a moment I thought the stripper might be a character, what better way to keep the guys interested, until the parental control software blocked access to her site. So, I guess I can't verify one way or the other. Wink

From my understanding, and comparison to other ARGs, WiBS seems to be based more in the reality that that codes are everywhere. Actually thought about dating the painting, and furthur acts of detection, are the name of the game, so to speak.

Unfortunately, qr5 is not registered by GMD (like debunkette and wibs is), and is likely a red herring. Something tells me this is a real band, who knows.

Rose, right now I believe we are in the "speculation" stage. No real puzzle has yet been proposed... that we can now decipher. I'm sure the recipe is of some significance, but as of this moment, we havent been given a nudge towards why.

Expect something to turn up next update.

Maybe not stop, but at least shuffled off into the Off-Topic section. And I promise to lock them if they get really annoying.

I'm 99.9999% sure they are. It wouldnt be the first time that a band has been slipped into an ARG for exposure. We got to listen to several tracks from different artists during Art of the Heist.

I went ahead and registered. I figure that I'll let anyone know if there's anything odd in the CD's insert. Never know, It might have something to do with the original site.
