As it's languishing so long, I did some searching. While I have no idea whether it's correct or not, it just kinda seems like something Urthstripe would go with.

How about:

"To Wong Foo:
Thanks for everything.
Julie Newmar"

Just kinda seems like something Urth would use.

it's funny how a single frame can evoke the feeling of several radically-different movies. My mind was considering:
eXistenZ (used)
Blade Runner (used)
Men in Black (not yet used?)

That bowl of china seems familiar:
Glengarry Glen Ross ?

Sorry - I'm going off at a tangent here... but has there ever been a horror film whereby one of the bit-part characters manages to escape "the haunted house" or "cabin in the woods" before the end of the movie and survives (even though you never seen him/her in the film after that?)

I can't think of a single film where that's happened. It's been really bugging me! Anyone?

The film version of The Mist has a lady bail out of the grocery store early on to save her kids (and it is assumed that she dies), but she is seen at the end rollin' with the Army all safe and stuff. Does that count?

How about this movie? But you'll have to guess first...and technically it's only half a horror-ish...thingy.

Shot from the first seconds of the movie (as usual)

Just for good measure: The bit player that leaves the haunted house 'alive'.

The amount of pea soup on the priest's frock in the second shot makes me think it's Repossessed.

"bit-part characters" can get a bit ambiguous.
A couple that I think might fit the bill are the chick in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the guy in Event Horizon who went into the cryogenic chamber and the ship didn't just power it down.

Pupster - "Casper"?

Thanks to urthstripe and rogi for the recommendations. I haven't seen The Mist, so I'll give it a try this weekend. As for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Event Horizon I can't remember either character, so will need to check those out as well...
