Winter Solstice & The Brotherhood

The winter solstice was yesterday, and I don't see any news anywhere?

There's also nothing about either the Kindling of the Flame, or the Restitution of the Cube from the Brotherhood. I've just dropped a note to Sister Flynnt.

Finally I've noticed a new bit (it may not be new, but I didn't notice it before) at the foot of the festivals about the SYZYGY, to be celebrated in 270, however I make that 2007. I'm hoping that I'm either working the years out wrong, or this festival will not be important for the game, otherwise we'll have a long wait...

the kindling of the flame i think is performed when snow first falls in perplexcity, and not the winter solstice. Smile

Yeh, kksweety is like totally right:

minor festivals such as the Kindling of the Flame, which we celebrate each winter at first snowfall

Maybe perplex city has a perplexcitycentric solstice date i.e when the sun is at its greatest distance from perplex city, instead of the equator.

Yes I sent Sister April an email before Christmas asking if they had any snow yet and to keep me informed if they have snow.

Not heard anything yet.

I sent a note to Sister F back at the time of starting this thread, but only got the auto reply.

Form the Sentinel

Quote:
The Brotherhood of the Six held the ceremony of the Kindling of the Flame at dusk on Tuesday night, following the light blanket of snow that fell in the early hours that morning. This is the latest the Kindling has been since 224, when the first snowfall was on 7th Feb

So we've had snow

It is indeed Sunday but I have only just noticed that it had snowwed, has anyone told our willibg volunteer to go to the abandoned station on Tuesday at dusk or are we going to wait until after Tuesday and then realise no one has bothered to send anyone. All so is it Kurt we're sending cos I got very confussed over that whole matter if he was going on his own or not.

Kurt agreed to go, as per Path of Least Time, not sure whether he will go alone or not though - there's a lot of spec about Miranda...
