New email here, 2 hours ago:

Original was invisotexted and in Wingdings font:

Quote:
I gave you 8. we shall split them into 4. from the first we will simply switch. from the second we shall subtract 2. The third will add one, and the last? That stays the same. I trust you shall find the way.

So if you start with 8 and split into 4, you have 4 twos

2 2 2 2

Switch the first

1 2 2 2

Subtract two from the second

1 0 2 2

Add one to the third and leave the last the same leaves us:

1 0 3 2

Thats my thoughts anyway... any ideas on it?

I thought it would apply to the 8 letter combos sent through before e.g. RCEHCEKC, and ODSDWKHE

However switching the first two letters, taking 2 from the second 2, adding 1 to the third two, and leaving the last gives: CRCFDFKC, and DOQBXLHE
and I get nothing from that!

Yup same as mine on the last page. In light of Terminal' s last message, I think this may mean someone has a 3rd set of 8 letters, and we then need to unlock them.... somehow...

I've never really played an ARG before I normally just lurk, but I've been looking at that picture and I've tried to bring up the text. I'll fiddle around with it a bit more to see if I can make out anything else.

So far all I can see is:

"here"
"he"
"2nd key"
and something that's half obscured that looks like "The back door"

Edit: The picture's original name is 50bere2 I don't know whether it's relevant or not.

Good spot Reason, they've changed their hobbies since the last time we checked (well Lysithea did).

I've tried a couple of things but not got anymore text than you've found Metlagirl.

I also checked the image data, the only thing I spotted that looked out of place was a row of 50 twos, which seems related to the image name 50bere2

I'm not having any luck with the picture, the text blends into the background too much. PSP is not being very useful at the moment.
That last bit of text on tram could be nearly anything, although I think it's something like "The b---d--" I'm fairly sure it's 7 or 8 letters long.

I think the picture itself was taken in Portugal, the sign on the tram looks like it says it's going to Graça which is somewhere near the sea in Lisbon.

I tried to see if bere translated into something but it's not a Portugese word. I got bear in Dutch, and to drink in Italian.

copying it into ms paint, and stretching the image makes the tram writing easy. It says "mine but i dont"

gray text at bottom = 2nd key
gray text at top = here, there or where. but theres something before it, under it and possibly after it. possibly a "help me" underneath. I think he wants to know where it is. Or theres something there.

The bottom part looked like base64 so I tried to decrypt it and got:

Quote:

If you rot the start of that phrase, you get;

Quote:
The script was wrong

Well done travelling performer? Next time I try and get something out of a picture I'll try the simple methods first instead of becoming mesmerized by all the PSP filters. Laughing

1,1,2,3,5,7,12,19,31,50,81,104,185,289,474,763,1006,1769,2775

It's the fibonacci numbers again but this time it's one out at 7, one number before the sequence on the yahoo profile.

The first sequence has 18 numbers, and the second has 19, and they both have two numbers in common after the they deviate from the fibonacci sequence: 104, 1006

There's probably something greatly significant about some of that, but my brain feels sleep-deprived and I'm not too quick with maths even when I am awake.

The last part of the text reads "riend knows what to with them"

Graca is similiar to humor in portuguese.
