Well, in the interest of full idiot disclosure, the actual password once I went back and checked my work was:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
a2bc112a3bcb

... I had a blip in there from parsing "Keers Eye" as one word, back from page 6 or so. However ... now the serversecurity.tk site has changed! Someone had better email Jared about the access code we found in the cache.

Knowing how the script works, going to the web page that password refers to gives the message:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Immersion Security level one. Current Status : Disabled.

Edit: and going to http://www.serversecurity.tk/ now has a different screen.
Edit2: massive - I now understand what you posted. Oops.

OK the full text on the new site is:

Quote:
Server Security - Level One - Status : Down

Immersion Server Security Module A1.

This module has been deactivated by user "RENATA" It may be reactivated from the designated security zone. To continue security de-activation, the second security code must be entered into a terminal within 500 metres of the designated security zone.

To contact technical support, e-mail : TechnicalsupportSPLATserversecurity.tk.
To contact Immersion customer service, e-mail : ImmersionlabsSPLATserversecurity.tk

For privacy purposes, this page will remain only until de-activation is continued, or this module is restored.

took me a couple of reads to get it, but basically we now need to find a terminal 500m from the security zone (?) and a second code. We also have two new routes, via the email addies but we'll need to think up suitable cover stories.

I don't quite get the last paragraph, but I'm taking it as we're on a time limit.

So we have... 8,131,1052 or, 7,104,1006 passwords?

It's the same string on the site, I would go for the second number as those are the wrong ones, which is 8 digits long, so that then becomes: 17021106 following the instructions, but what do we do with this?

or it's more likely 17022006, 17th Feb 2006?

@massive: care to elaborate how you came up with the password? I can't see which emails you combined there.

I think I know how massive got the password:

Given the key:
Table - Keers - Eye - Village - Thistle - Crow - Saevitia - Table - Rin9 - Eye - Village - Eye

apply the transformation Airlock = Table; Boat = Eye; Computer = Village
and replace the remainding with the number of the first e-mail received by those users: onionring = Rin9 = 3 (was sent e-mail titled '3')

Table - Keers - Eye - Village - Thistle - Crow - Saevitia - Table - Rin9 - Eye - Village - Eye
a 2 b c 1 1 2 a 3 b c b

Yup that's it, I'd suggested the numbers part ages ago but totally missed the ABC.

My concern is the site talks about being within 500m of the security zone, so it's geographical, rather than virtual? Maybe we just need to get Jared to do it though..

Yeah, in the IM he mentions having solved the second key, which was Lisbon, perhaps even the location in the photo? Maybe something will happen to the http://www.serversecurity.tk/ website if someone prompts our friend(?) - anyone done that yet?

I sent the solve to him earlier today, here is his response:

Quote:
Friend,

Finally. It appears that the basic level security on these computers is broken. Yet i still feel uncomfortable saying too much. I believe i have to use a computer here to pass the second lock. I believe the password is the place the girl identified. But the username? Renata doesn't work. This isn't as easy as i had hoped.

Jared.

Similar response here:
---
Subject: Well done

Thankyou for contacting me, i don't believe we've spoken, but i know you've been helping me. The need for code seems lessened now. The security filters are allowing me to speak normally, and the eyes seem more concerned about something in the village. I still dare not divulge too much. I know the name of the place that the girl identified is the password. But the username i don't know. I believe this key is mine to solve though. I shall keep searching, the username must be on these computers somewhere.

Jared.

So do we just wait now? I suppose we've still got War & peace to finish breaking to keep us going...
