if this carries on we could be waiting weeks for a reply to one of our posts - whos to say they havent caught perplexian flu and will be off work for the next 6 weeks god only knows how bad perplexian flu is.
And I was really interested in seeing his canoe an all
I still doubt someone will post a message that says "hey no worries heres my password / filing system - hack away!" and if they are all vetted Kevin Albright will surely put a stop to any security breach - look at

I suppose we will have to wait and see. I could still use a conoe though its pretty choppy in the waters here in the antartica and im a penguin used to the warmth

Man, I really suck at Pyramid. Anyone got one of those instructional programs that I could have a look at to brush up my skills?
That was me. Just another attempt to get someone to put something on the filesystem. John Catrini's profile says he spends a lot of time napping the a storage room, so I figured he's probably not around the boards much. And I tried to write it in a way that it could look like another joke if he happens to notice it.

Why is it Tech and Personnel can never get their act together with new employees? I swear it took me three weeks to get everything straight. Anyway, if you have ideas for caterers for me, why don't you let me take you out to lunch? I think it's nice for people from different groups to get to know each other, anyway.

If you're having a serious problem -- like your space is down -- you have to come see us in the Tech department. This is why we're here.

Don't let Helix find out, dude. Remember what happened the last time someone got caught for misuse of company resources...
The last one seems the most interesting

Should we pretend to be the guy who hasn't been in for a while, Kevin, and ask how to get into his individual space from home? Like say his key is malfunctioning, and he doesn't know how to log in?

A bunch of us in research are talking about having a Pyramid night on Thursdays just over at Brain Benders. Who would be game?
You know mkting hosts poker up on the 7th every Thurs, right?
I forgot all about that, Steph. Tell Yusef I'm sorry, OK? The research team got together and we'll move Pyramid to Mondays, still at BB. Anyone is welcome!
Maybe we have to get Kurt or Violet to go to Brain Benders (sounds like a pub), and join in with their game. They could ply them with drink, and get some info out of them. We could introduce them through the board:
"I can't make it this week, but my friends love the game so they may see you there." sort of thing.

ok here's my submission to the board from lin applebaum in research
Quote:
As i'm sure you have all read in the Sentinel the Director of the Health Office Julian Harrowak has been asked to tender his resignation as he is afflicted with Barrow-Feld Syndrome. I have just spoke with Mr Harrowak and he is very interested in my research into the uses of audible rhythms for influencing biological functions, in particular the effects of the latest Viard album.
It might just be that the particular frequencies of the album may help treat Barrow-Feld Syndrome...now this is only speculation but if it is the case then we may be able to push for a reconsideration on the current ban on "The Silver City", but first I need to find the sound engineer who worked with Viard on the album. Anybody know his name? many thanks
what do you think?

It's only been described as a 'puzzle bar' before. Somehow I think it sounds more like a poker school than a place to booze.
However at most poker schools I've been to before there's a bar attached...hey ho.

probbly a crap idea but it works for some silly bank customers and thieves
how bout we do a scam on the internal boards -- say were admin and say "We are having problems with security (as you are no doubt aware) so untill we fix it we are asking you to re register your name and password (current) on an earth based server system -- we have set up a channel through the academy -- please do so within 5 days before we run a complete reboot of the system. -- Here is the earth address <address here>" (and we direct them to our own site )
it might just catch someone

Im sure they wont be in the least bit confused as to why the site is earth based...
Actually, suspect they will be overwhelmed by the stench of rat.
