I like puzzles and I like money.
Plus the whole returning a cultural icon thing, that too.

Because puzzles seemed to be a better thing to spend my cash on than shiny gadgets that I'll use for a week and then get bored of.
Because I like learning stuff, and hopefully being able to make use of some of the information than my brain seems to absorb and hold on to.
Because no-one else I know (as far as I'm aware) is playing, and I like to be a bit different
Because I have too much free time on my hands.

I'm playing Perplex City for the giddy thrill of moving threads like this to the Meta section! That, and the lure of cold hard cash. And making jazz hands at every available opportunity.

It's nice to be nice.
I once helped someone look for his car keys in the dark for an hour, only for him to discover them lodged in his pocket and cutting uncomfortably into his leg when he had broken his ankle by tripping over an unseen pothole. Then I had to drive him to hospital. Uninsured. So that's a bit like the Cube, you see. To me.

Bordom, Lack of a Life, Inability to communicate effectivly with humans... The typical reasons people use the internet to begin with.
More likely im here to watch people fail miserably at ... Riemann
Really in that light, I expect them to give us a silver card called
"World Peace"... in which we must produce proof that we have indeed succeeded at producing world peace. ... Which would be more likely to occur than solving Riemann.
No... Im here because im a puzzle freak. I am the only person i know who can solve puzzles at all, making me a strange loner in my crowd who never has anything to say that anyone really grasps or understands in any way. Yay!... woot for idiot savantism.
