...I'm confused...
I got an email telling me to confirm my email addy for ryandrew's team, and so that's what I did. Now I've got the 'we were not able to assign you a place' message, but I can log in to the site and see we still have a team of 4 people registered. All it says is...
Quote:
You still have 2 spaces remaining in your team!
Your team is currently closed. We recommend that you either fill your team up to six with additional friends, or the alternative option is to simply leave your team open, and we will fill it with players who do not already have a team organised. You never know, you might make some new friends!
The minimum team size is 4 participants and we recommend 6. Teams with less than this number will be either filled with players from the random pool or not be eligible for play.
Only the team leader can add new members to the team (up to a maximum of 6), contact them if you want someone added!
Registration is now closed. Your team is now frozen as it is.
...which I take to mean we're in with a team of 4 that'll be topped up with randomers.
Yes? No?

If your team is closed (and has at least 4 members) it won't have any new members added. To get 'randomers' added to your team I think you should have left it open.
I'm afraid it sounds like you haven't made it - e-mails were sent out to all team members when their leaders first registered, then a few days later teams were 'chosen' by MC and e-mails were sent confirming if you had made it into the 200+ or not.
Don't know if it's normal that unaccepted teams can still access their details - if in doubt you should check with MC.

It sounds like your team didn't get chosen, but I agree that it's far from clear about it. I think the best thing would be to email them for clarification.

I like the way three people post more or less the same thing, kick 'em when they're down why don't ya.

Whilst you're encouraged to extend the sin and shame in which you wallow, us here in the UK will apparently be having our souls saved... I'm a little worried that I'll burn up on entry to the church . And they don't seem like the sort to sing all the ones I know from school. KarenB (I think I should assign a /nick to her in case it's ever useful to reference again...I'M NOT A BOOK...thank you dear...)used to work around Holborn and it's a lovely area.

They've got a conference centre (and the building's beautiful ). I reckon this room looks the most likely. Apparently it's "Ideal for examinations, receptions and clearance sales". I'm really hoping we have Krypton factor clearance sale, a competitive carboot, a timed tombola. Bagsy the white elephant stall and the bran tub

I don't know. You go on Holiday skiing in the Alps for a week and miss out on all the fun!
Good luck to everyone who got in. Is there a general movement to spectatoring on day or just the pub afterwards?

There's enough space at the venue for lots of spectators, if I were doing it I would come down at about fourish to soak up the atmosphere, look at some of the games and celebrate travelling peformer's obvious loss to the mighty Jazzhands and then come for a few drinks afterwards.

Volunteers wanted!!
There is a new topic in the FAQ:
Quote:
· We would like two volunteers to help man a Perplex City card trading room.
We are planning to have a room or tables set aside for people who would like to trade Perplex City cards at the 'base camp' for the games. If you'd like to volunteer to help man the room, please email londoneventATperplexcityacademygames.com. Volunteers will need to be available from 11:30am to 6pm, and will not be able to take part in the games. They will, however, receive a lovely 'PCAG ground crew' T-shirt and our thanks.

Is anyone gonna have a video camera? I wouldn't mind seeing some of the action. I remember someone recorded the end of LCP. That was cool, and this can only be cooler
[Off topic]I hate being a teenager with no money. I always miss the cool stuff. They better have a PCAG next year. I'll be 18 then, and then it's on.
