Yeah that could be a way to get it in, make it like we're trying to make an Earth comparison or something, especially as Alejo seems interested in Earth (or why would he be talking to us lol?).

I think it's pretty important that we don't overstress the Cyrus point though, or it's going to look a fair bit conspicuous that we are asking questions about some sound guy rather than the 'celebrity' we're meant to be talking to.

I guess something like "Here on Earth some recording artists take their beliefs very seriously, even to the point where they will only record on certain days and only work with people, production engineers for example, of complimentary starsigns, our version of your 'futures' (I don't know if that's actually true but hey it's possible). Is this the same with you and Roll for Damage? "

Something along those lines, anyway?

EDIT: And if he says it is important, could ask which futures are compatible with your sign/s? Then we'd know that Cyrus is one of those, in theory at least Smile

Put so much better than what I was getting at.

Could we get the information about star signs from one of the employees?

We could either post to the board saying "Does someone know anything about...?"

Alternatively, we could post as Tenisha Karabo, and the message would go directly to her.

Any thoughts?

double-check?

This is probably a silly question, but has someone else tried all of the Futures (their plurals, and without the articles) as Cyrus' password? I just wanted to make sure I did get a typo during my attempts. It seems like the obvious solution to me, which, of course, makes it too simple.

(First post -- w00t!)

Alas yes. A variety of ways too. No luck and my eyes hurt watching the file system go round and round and round and round and round and round!

Please stop the ride I feel sick

That's a good idea! I remember thinking this had to be significant when we first read it. You may have hit the nail on the head. Of course, I'm gun-shy about posting to their message board. Anybody want to give it a try? Very Happy

Do we actually know for certain that the Futures are related to the stars? Maybe some other method of 'divination' is used in composing them.

While it does seem likely (and I have no problem with the messages posted/e-mails sent so far btw), I don't think we should ignore the possibility that we could be on completely the wrong track. Even if the Futures are related to the heavens, maybe "my star" could mean something completely different for Quinton.

Hopefully we'll be a little wiser after tomorrow's event.

I think I figured something out! On a hunch I did a google search on the origin and meaning of the name Cyrus. One of the meanings that appeared several times is the Persian derivation which is the sun!

Could this be the star Cyrus is referring to as his?

Ok a couple of things for the melting pot:

1) Could this potentially be a hint for shuffled (star on the joker?)

2) In Tarot, The Star is the card of thieves.

3) Those born under the stars in the split of the Elvan races were named Eldars. Could the society of Elders worship a pentagram? Are we looking for Gyvann's name for star worshippers?

4) In Earthen religion the builder could be herod and Jesus (or the innocents) could be those born under a star (or even the Jews) - strange actually that the builder is reviled for his massacre of innocents on earth, and we are looking at the potential of Gyvann the builder being involved with a suspected massacre. Could it be that Herod won out in PXC and wrote history, becoming the revered?

5) Connected to that Cyrus the great (or cyrus the Elder) defeated the Lydian king and deposed the Median king. (Note the musical connections) He was also called "the lord anointed" by the Jews. And he built an empire that spanned most of modern day middle East, and Turkey. If this relates to the king of persian it could relate to either the greeks (the sun people) or the babylonians (the followers of astronomy) .

I think that maybe the key is Cyrus' fake name and that we may actually be looking at a very clever reference to Earthen classical history.

Not got time to play with what Cyrus would have called the greeks (helois) tonight.

But just a few possibles.

But mostly he was really quiet, kept to himself. One of the PAs managed to find out his birthday once, and brought a cake in for him, right in the middle of the PCAG finals. He turned so many kinds of red, you wouldn't even believe it.

Alejo let us know when his birthday is... YAY!
