Well once we meet a decision on which one, the ideal would be to contact Violet again so she can look through those books for us again. We send a mail to Sister Flynnt, asking as much as we can about the sign.
Oh, and we google as much as we can to find possible key words.

I would tonight, but I'm sleepy!

EDIT: It's being talked about here-

I have emailed Sister April.

Quote:
Dear Sister April,

I am very interested in Astrology and have been greatly taken by the Futures of your world. Having spent some time researching my own earth based sign (Sagittarian) I am interested in understanding more about my Futures sign, the Apple Thief and my wifes sign the Hand. I have been led to believe that there may be alternative names for these signs as given by Gyvann and was hoping you might be able to provide me with any information.

I appreciate you are very busy but hope to hear from you soon,

Many thanks,

GuiN.

No doubt I will get the usual auto reply but will see

I guess our work on the board is done:

Board Shutting Down

Well, this has certainly been an eventful few days. As many of you already know, Charlie Specht has been terminated from his position after his egregious flaunting of security policies. Posting a password to a secure area on a forum like this is simply unacceptable behaviour, and I really expect much better from all of you.

It's also become clear to me, through speaking to Martina, that many of the 'new employees' posting of late are nonexistent. I don't know if we have a sudden invasion of would-be infiltrators or if this is all some sort of elaborate (and unfunny) prank, but either way, it's become clear that the people at Hesh can't be trusted to work responsibly and securely with this sort of non-work-related benefit.

This board will no longer be accepting additional posts. I'm so very disappointed with all of you.

The good Sister has replied to my email:

Quote:
Thank you for your interst in the words of Gyvann! I am pleased to be able to share his
wisdom with you.

Sadly, Gyvann made many references to Hands during his lifetime, and it is often unclear
wether he means literal Hands or skyward ones. There are entire works of scholarship that
study this interesting duality in meaning, for example, Julian Meerowe's 'Hands to Build' is
very interesting. If you were to give me more information about a specific subject you were
interested in, I might be able to help you frther, but to understand thoroughly would take
years of study on your part.

The only piece of scripture containing Gyvann's direct words regarding the Apple-Thief is
this...

The Apple-Thief is the bringer of justice. He makes right all that is askew, though the
righting may often be painful.

It is notable as being the only time he referred to his comanion in this way in scripture.
There has been much theologicol debate on why there are so few references to the Apple-
Thief, though of course there are more suggestions at references in various texts of dubious
authority and veracity.

May the light of the Cube shine in your heart now and forever more.

Sister Flynnt

Particularlly like the reference to the

possibly something for Violet or the acadamy library. I also emailed Violet asking if she can get us a login and access code to help find this information.

Also this is another useful point

So now where .....

I knew Id find some use for this stuff one day:

could this be what we are looking at?

Quote:
Justice

There are some species of snake which have their own specific symbolism. The one which appears most in the Bible is the viper. The viper is a bringer of justice (Gen 49:16-17). The theme of the viper appears in both old and new testaments. In the new testament, Paul is bitten by a viper, and the watchers assume he has committed a terrible crime and will die. When he does not die, it is considered he must be innocent, or the viper's venom would have killed him (Acts 28:3-5). The idea of venom bringing justice is extended to becoming drunk. Alcohol is symbolised by the venom, and the bad after effects the punishment (Deut 32:33; Proverbs 23:32).

EDIT* mmm the askew bit though....

Does anybody feel slightly guilty for getting Charlie fired with all our antics? Perhaps we should contact this guy somehow and see if hes up for "helping" us gain access to the system?

I think a BA Baracus quote would suffice

I don't know if we can contact him, but I certainly do feel guilty for getting him fired. Confused Wonder if we can send him an e-card or something.

Sorry to hear about your recent termination, which was pretty much our fault. Thanks for the help, though. Good luck in the future. Until then, take comfort knowing you've aided in the search for the Cube! (but don't go round telling people that -- you might end up dead.) Sincerely, Earth
