Hmm... wild speculation here. Cyrus may have been talking to Sente. Sente has been called "bridge builder"... Could Cyrus' clue be referring to Sente, not Gyvann? Has Sente ever talked about the futures, or the stars?

 		So, I just started reading about PXC this week, so sorry if this is old. (I tried a search, but nothing came up.)

I was just wondering when the Brotherhood website came out. I couldn't help but notice some glaring typos. Using a few of the erroneous letters, I came up with something about "Meteors".

My train of thought went something like "builder" (from the clue) to Gyvann to Brotherhood, and "sign" to apple thief to Madna to Madna's Tears ("a meteor shower event").

I might be completely off base here (I probably am), but I couldn't help but wonder about those tyypos.

 		If had called Sente, then when Alejo used the redial he would have got the master's office, and I would have thought he'd remember that, not just 'some office at the Academy'.

I would have thought it was more likely Cyrus was talking to V, since we know V has a low-ranking job at the Academy. Which suggests to me that he works for the 3P, but possibly not in a high level capacity, especially since he was being apologetic. Possibly he wasn't in on the plans to steal the cube and was upset to discover they'd nicked it - which might give him a reason to leave the message on the Viard cd, if he was disillusioned by the theft. I reckon they did him in for breaking their security.

I was still going with the idea that Cyrus was a possible candidate for V himself. Several people have pointed out the Quin/5/V thing, he's male, he acted strangely the day the cube went missing, etc.

What I want to know is: If Cyrus is our source for the message on the CD, and if Helena is actually dirty, does that disprove our theory that Cyrus = V? Or have we decided to clear Helena of all suspicion?

I just don't like her because she was rough with Kurt. Wink

 		Right, now I'm more awake I'm gonna write a email to Violet to let her know which signs she needs to check for us. She could probably confirm which one we should use for our research.

I think we shouldn't start trusting Helena, call it gut instinct or female intuition, I just don't trust that woman. It seems to early in the story to confirm who V is just yet, so I think the best bet is to TRUST NO ONE.

I'm more inclined to side with Psyche on this one, based on the new info. Given how dangerous V is supposed be, I can't see him being apologetic to anyone. I guess it could be a bluff, but what purpose would that serve?

I don't think the "Quin/5/V" thing would be so obvious, but you never know. He's our most likely candidate for the Viard message, but are we over looking someone?

I don't know about proof, but we were told that C's surname began with C, and that s/he was a computer expert. Castille is the only candidate who fits that bill that I know of. Though I guess we don't know Cyrus' real surname.

We also know that V's academy job is low ranking, so he can't be Sente. Actually, call me crazy, but I do wonder about Von now and then, purely on the basis that we were told that V's Academy job let's him 'indulge his kink', and Von's passion for Earth things could be seen as a kink.

I'm completely with everyone on the 'don't trust Helena' front, too. However you look at it, the snippet of conversation Kurt overheard makes her sound pretty dodgy.

Dang. I had a long post with quotes and links to the Wiki and everything, and it got lost. Bummer. So, long story short:

1. We don't know WHERE V works, just that he has a "day job" somewhere (from the 3P Groupware Manager Emails)

2. C is female (from Monica Grand in the Salk logs)

EDIT: Oh, and I don't trust Helena either. She's got shifty eyes. Even if Cyrus is V I'd rather try to get some info out of him before we hand him over to Helena.
