someone might want to double check it, just to make sure.

Counting missing letters:
031043046056040046043034
using 0 as seperator:
31 43 46 56 40 46 43 34
hex-decodes to: "1CFV@FC4"
Counting missing letters here is hard because of the YY in there
I assumed it means 0
so, I get nothing here either

I got one today too. I've got no scanner, so I'll give a description for now.
The left side has an analog watch face set to exactly 1:52:00, and there appears to be a little mark by the VI. Underneath the watch face, it says "Signs of the times" in yellow.
The right half has some kind of schedule...
Code:
=============================
| WEEK 1 |
|-----------------------------|
| M | T | W | R | F |
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| |10:08|12:23|12:07|12:23|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| |10:37|11:45|10:08|03:07|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| |09:30|04:52|08:52|09:53|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| | |11:53| |01:52|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| | | | |09:08|
-----------------------------
=============================
| WEEK 2 |
|-----------------------------|
| M | T | W | R | F |
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
|01:00|04:23|05:15|12:00|07:45|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
|11:00|03:45|06:30|02:22|11:00|
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
|08:32|07:15|12:15|12:45| |
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| | |01:00|11:15| |
|-----+-----+-----+-----+-----|
| | |01:45| | |
-----------------------------
My immediate thought was maybe semaphore? Haven't had the time to really sit with it yet though...so everyone is more than welcome to take a crack at it.

the link for the first one works and the second one is pictured there. the second one is obviously vigenere but i dont know who the guy is so i havent gotten the key yet.
lisa anne
strike that...it is indeed vigenere himself!

ok so:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i thought the right text was the code and the left text the key but it is the opposite so you get answerblaisede

Ok, this took me a few minutes and then I felt really stupid! The portrait is Blaise de Vigenere (the founder of our beloved cipher) lol...so I'm gonna see what I can find out using vinegere ciphering.
The text on the pic is: TUQWEEUXGWVAOA
I'm trying different keys and nothing seems to come out logical. So, I'll continue messing around.
Also, on the other postcard, my friend and I were trying to figure it out. The only thing we can come up with is that the blank spaces add up to 11 letters and there are 11 cities names. We're thinking that each city stands for a letter, and perhaps a letter thats in the word it stands for?
Aha! http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/blaisede.html
OK, http://www.planetware.com/ohio/warren-us-oh-468.htm according to this site, its Warren, Ohio

If you look at the map, I'm gathering the poster is at the small box directly in the center, just north of the 422. So, let us know what happens there teh_lisa...

I'm going to spoiler this, because I'm not sure this is the way it was supposed to be solved. (In fact, I'm pretty sure this is not the way, but since teh_lisa is going all the way out to Warren tomorrow, I thought I might as well save her a second trip.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Using the URL of the photo you can see that it is named poster3clue1.jpg. Take a guess of what I did next.
So this what you end up with. Again, don't read if conflicted with some sort of moral dilemma.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/poster3clue2.jpg
So what do we conclude from this?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Look for the bush!
Again, maybe this was the way this was supposed to be solved. I don't know. The PM probably should have known we would check the source/properties for potential kloos.

Chewy: I tried that with the postcards he put on the website to no avail. But if it was that easy for you I sorta hava a hard time believing the PM wouldnt have thought of that. So perhaps that is how we find the secondary clues.
Also, Teh_lisa, notice the slight change in coordinates, it cuts off the west one, but the second pic says 39.43'53.55N

Although I haven't tried it yet, judging from the first two, I'm betting that each postcard has a different extension (.jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, etc.)

Well I'm kind of starting to believe that as well, because the other ones (fa and cadet) haven't been so easily cracked yet. The PM obviously saw the potential for this, as the picture's URLs get ever more complex.

Hello. I got a postcard the other day (I am from LA), and took some pics for everyone to see. I have a lot of stuff on my plate, so I haven't tried to do anything with it. I am posting two photos of it because I am not sure if in the original one, you can tell which blocks on the postcard are in bold, so in the other pic, I kinda put some orange in the ones that are. Thanks, and I will try to keep up with this more. Have at it people. LOL

Hey All, I got my card today. I'll get a chance to scan it in the morning. It's got good ole' Abe Lincoln on it.
