Forums slower than usual?

For about 2 weeks now the forums have been incredibly slow for me. It seems to be about the speed of dialup, maybe worse. Am I the only one having this problem?

My connection speed (cable) is still as fast as it always was and Unfiction seems to be the only site affected. I tried accessing UF on our other computer and got the same results using Firefox 1.5.0.1 , IE and Opera.

Help? Crying or Very sad

This probably doesn't help much, but it's the same for me - only as of today though, and everything seems slow for me Confused The whole Interwebnet thing has slowed right down here Rolling Eyes

There has been a slowdown in the amount of time UF takes to connect, and it is being addressed. Hopefully we can solve the problem quickly.

I thought it was just the number of memebers drawing on the resources to read all the chewy goodness that was causing it to be a bit slower lately. Embarassed

Not sure if this is related, but my UnForums clock is 6 hours fast at the moment. I've checked my timezone, so I guess it must be something to do with the lagginess of the site at the moment.

Yeah the time offset seems to be off by 6 hours for me at the moment which I assume means the PHPBB offset or the server time needs to be reconfigured, since the profile settings are still correct.

I have the same problem, which started on Tuesday I think. When I'm not logged in, I get 'all times are GMT - 5 hours' but they are actually displayed as GMT + 1, and when I'm logged in (my time is GMT) they are displayed as GMT + 6.

Interestingly, the correct time is displayed in the date format on the profile page. Hope that helps.

Whew, I thought I was the only one having this problem. It is still very slow and today I was unable to connect to the server at all. Its good to know its being worked on.

And my clock is off by 6 hours too.

We are still working on the problem, and are confident that we've isolated what needs to be fixed. However, getting it done might take some time.

Thanks for your continued patience through all of this.

If I'm not mistaken, the forums have greatly increased in speed since yesterday? Or is it just the time of the day that is helping it move along faster?

Ive also noticed a rapid increase in the speed this morning, so lets hope it isnt just the time and day. Traffic doesnt seem to be any less.
