The posters are actually given numbers if you look at the top of the sites with the maps, I think it would be less confusing to use those numbers in this Smile

How were Posters 1 and 2 found? And by whom?!

Well, here's what they look like... even though we have no idea about the poster finder, or the clues that gave the answer.

Myeerah - I was using the numbers at the top of the pages that held the maps I think - let me know if I'm being stupid Wink

I have the /blaisede.html poster as #3, Alabama #5, Arkansas #7, according to the tops of the maps.

Also, Chewy, the clues were discussed in the postcard section in these forums. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14022&start=15 I just have no idea who went and got the posters. I guess he's releasing the poster after he knows someone finds it.

I was numbering the posters based on the numbers in posterlog.html... where arkansas is 1 and alabama is 2. The two posters there fit together so I assume that must be the order we need to put them together. I assumed that would be the same as the numberings that we had on the pages where the maps were... it seems strange to have two numbering systems.

Anyways, just spoken to Jack in the chatroom and he's confirmed that the posters are being added to posterlog in the order they are found... the background thing must be a strange coincidence. I will update the reference accordingly Wink

Enaxor got the postcard3.jpg that jack posted solved in chat:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

<teh_lisa> what the heck is that maze card?
<en[a]xor> no idea
<en[a]xor> unless it's just a maze
<en[a]xor> amazing?
http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/amazing.html

I figured out the next number in the sequence on postcard4.bmp:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
count all occurences of the previous series in the order they appear in and make a new sequence to describe them.
31131210 has 2 3's 4 1's 1 2 and 1 0.
http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/23411210.html

The clues lead to Chester Library, Northgate Street, Chester, CH1 2EF - Tel: 01244 312935.

I'm going to try and get there after work tomorrow night Smile

EDIT: Although if it's actually in the library, it'll probably be closed by the time I get there. Which would be annoying!

Now that all the postcards are up for viewing, everyone can try to figure them out. However, there is currently no way of knowing which postcard(s) led to which (found) posters!

Those of you who found a poster, could you PLEASE say which postcard led to it?

I have been working on postcard 25. Almost done.

i am happy to report that i believe i am the first of 'us' to actually find a poster! i won't bother scanning it because lax will put it up for us. i will mention that cleverly the other (non-puzzle)side has a missing person ad with a phoot of sarah and lax's email addy. full colour and everything. nice touch!

I got out of Jack today that there is a poster is Cali somewhere. I guess the guy was gonna only put it up for 10 days though. I"m hoping Jack will give me a hint as to where it is or at least which postcard would lead to it.

Just had a message back from Jack as well, apparently the Cheshire one was put on the back wall of the basement of the library. I'm pretty sure we checked around the basement pretty well, but I'll probably pop back there this weekend to double check.

I hope the same librarians aren't on... they already think I'm a bit wierd. Don't get me wrong, I am a bit wierd, I just don't like people thinking it Wink

I soved http://www.anothercontestworthentering.com/postcard6.jpg
This picture is called Fibonacci Rectangles and Spiral ( http://students.bath.ac.uk/ma1caab/spirals.html )

The numbers on the postcard are not Fibonacci numbers however (those are 0,1,1,2,3,5,8...) it looks like something has been added to them.

So I subtracted the Fibonacci number that belongs with each square from the numbers given and got 2 15 22 9 14 5
Using 1=a/26=z this gives us http://anothercontestworthentering.com/bovine.html
