I just felt a sudden urge to file a patent on using your fingers to type...

Actually, I can't see what the rage is all about. Sure thing, they can patent their technology - but pure logic tells us that they can't patent ARGs, since

1) There's no clear definition of what constitutes an ARG.

2) There is no patent-basing technology which makes an ARG. Hyperlinked pages has been around some time, stories even longer. The combinations is, that is given, larger than the sum of its parts - but it just feels ridiculus.

Or perhaps the American patent system is extremely different from our Swedish one?

Yeah, that sounds like it'd work with the American patent system, as far as i can see.
