I was thinking about the new puzzle and wondered if it was a grid?

I should state, for the record, that I'm lousy at codes, but...

We have 1 - 6 in the list of letters, starting with Composer1.

I've tried laying them out in a grid, with the numbers vertically down but...didn't know what to do from there.

Anyone else working on it?

The following quote seems like a good clue:

Uta means Sin.

U = S
T = I
A = N

Thanks,

Hmm.. The Al Khari language is simple in principle, to write for example, but harder to speak. Uta means "Sin" roughly translated. The "U" becomes an S, the "T" becomes an I. But i don't know all the translations. But generally it sounds beautiful.

Also, as the swastika symbol thats been mentioned a few times over on the Renata community boards, the swastika isn't only a Nazi symbol. It is used frequently by Hindus and Buddhists as a religious symbol. The symbol was plastered all over temples I've seen in Asia, you can buy amulets with it on it, etc. It means eternality or something like that. If you wikipedia it, you can see where it started and what its meant. Since a Japanese Shinto goddess popped up, thought that might be relevant.

So the object of the game is to shoot Hindus and Buddhists with guns? I think the evil nazi figure is much more likely..

On the letter/ numbers a couple seem to have changed, unless I'm missing sthg.

MSN - no change
Yahoo is gone
AIM is gone although if you click on this the URL reads aim:goim?screenname=S+M+U+R+3&message=Hello+Are+you+there?
Location, occupation & interests are all the same.

I wonder if this code is the same as in War & Peace?

I guess it's pretty clear this is the PMs new route having been caught in here, so as well as this code we need to find the cave of the eye, and apparently it has opened, which is strange if it was sealed

If you click on the Yahoo link, and then log in - or even just over over the link you'll see this:

0%205%20O%20A%20U

which, once the %20's are stripped becomes 0 5 O A U

AIM is still the same then. I deleted all other characters from that url, when I posted the S M U R 3 code.

It's the same here. I deleted the %20 because they are used in urls as blanks. I should have said that earlier, sorry.

I've sent a private message to composer1, but he hasn't answered to it yet.

Hi Composer1,

I have the impression, that I do know you from somewhere. What do you think, how does that come? Have we met before? What is your name, since it isn't Music really, is it? You are into music then?

Patrol

Oh well, I forgot about the bad words (Composer was exchanged with Music Sad ) He already read it, but he didn't answer.

Oh, there is someone named S M U R 3 on AIM (without the spaces) as well as S+M+U+R+3 and even 0 5 O A U (Yahoo) can be found?! Confused

I don't have time to investigate this, but I seem to remember the big War and Peace document in the pre-game contained lots of these sequences of five characters separated by spaces. Maybe it would be worth trying to correlate these new sequences with the document.

[edit: Trout Looks like it was mentioned a few posts up. Sorry!]

I'm confused by the history picture - as is everyone. I know it's from an old computer game. A guy at work told me which one...is it a wolfenstein game? I don't know if it has more significance than the picture on Anissa's homepage.

I'm fairly sure it's not a wolfenstein game, as far as I know it was set in a castle in 1940's Germany. All I can make out is the obvious, that it's a space FPS with nazis probably from the late 80's maybe early 90's. It looks annoyingly familiar but I can't for the life of me remember what it is...

GAH

2 codes and me without a clue.
I'm guessing we were given the hint for the first word but that has still left me none the wiser.

Is anyone else playing? *sob* don't make me read up on cyphers and codes over the weekend.

Anyone?

Just in case Mr. Composer1 is none of us, which is not confirmed yet, there are some strange characters and numbers he has written down in his profile:
Code:
MSN Messenger:       3 L N C K P Y
Yahoo Messenger:     0 5 O A U
AIM Address:         S M U R 3
Location:            2 A O M N
Occupation:          6 S E R W
Interests:           4 S A H U

Well, Patrol pulled up this.
And the guy posting is Composer1
So I figured...

Code:
Composer1
        2AOMN
    SMUR3LNCKPY
        4SAHU
       05OAU
        6SERW

But then I read back through the pre-game and saw there was a whole load of codes being thrown about and so I could be waaayy off mark.

We also have the 3 words

Uta Nian Vir

And we've been told that Uta means Sin.

Cheers Smile

Hello. I am totally new to ARGs, but I've become intrigued about Renata-Isle after checking out the website yesterday. Okay, I've been reading through this forum and while I'm not clear on what we're supposed to be working on next, I've got a few notes that I'd like to share:

1. Alimento. Discovered this site: http://www.alimentocatering.com/ for the Alimento Catering and Ristorante. While it has addresses, etc in CA, it doesn't really look like a legit, RW, site, but it may also be red herring.

2. The Alimento site has a link to http://www.roundtreelab.com/ which is, apparently, the company that designed the site. Not much information on this site other than an email address (gordan.tianSPLATgmail.com - which for some reason seems very familiar to me).

3. The History page picture. It's not from Wolfenstein, although the graphics look similar to the original game (or spear of destiny). I played both, and there were no space based missions in either. I thought that it might be one of the space quest games, but I couldn't find any reference to the swatiska. It's more likely (in my opinion) a clue to look for a game website run by the PM. ??

I'm going to try my hand on the Composer code now and see what I come up with.

Also, when reading through the Renata forums, Anissa mentioned Host? Is this Composer1?

JimK
