Damn. I posted in the wrong forum, been looking at too many web sites, and now I can't delete it from the renata forum...

Here's the bit that's got me, that makes me think there's another code located somewhere:

"I have managed to upload to Immersion's site..."

Where? We've seen the "Music can be good" code, but it doesn't appear to be anything other than what it is (I tried applying Harmony info to it, but It still didn't make sense to me).

What about an ftp site? I've been trying to access ftp.renate-isle.com using Music and harmony info (userid: COmposer1, pass: 2AOMN), etc but can't get it.

Also, been looking around the www.renata-isle.com site and discovered this:

1. http://www.renata-isle.com/immersionlabs/ - contains a cgi-bin folder and an error.log file that I can't access.

2. the pictures from the main site are located here: www.renata-isle.com/pic.jpg (pic.jpg, pic1.jpg through pic6.jpg).

3. The text contained in the flash file are in document.txt through document6.txt.

I'm kind of stumped now and not really sure where to look next....

Ah. That was you, then? I suggest we just pass it off as another raving lunatic Cool

No it's never been cracked, see the pre-game thread.

Audio - I'm starting to take offence, I'm a raving lunatic now am I?

JimK - although you can't delete your thread you can go back in and edit it (way to go with the full disclosure, just as well TIAG, don't take up a job as a spy!!)

I don't mean those things, they're purely for show! If you wish, I will remove them. I looked at alais' post (who has since removed it, thank you alais Wink) and I thought of a random member just to kind of discredit the post. It's hard to explain. To be honest, I think you're great Very Happy

Alis: Jimk made the comment on the general talk thread, a new member made the thread.

Yeah, I really screwed up. Not only did I post that in the general talk thread, I wasn't logged in (although I supposed I could have protected my anonymity) so it was posted as guest and I can't edit it or delete it... Ugh.

Sorry.

Concerning War and Peace from the pregame, Composer's site (geocities.com/composer_a) has information and war and peace is listed as an unsolved mystery (see below), but I'm not sure from the site that it's relevant to the current game:

THE UNSOLVED MYSTERIES

WAR AND PEACE

Having been accused of his codes being easy to break, The Composer sent AlisdairPark a special code. 26 pages long in base64 format. Decoded it required another base64 before it emerged as morse code, then binary. Which was then decoded into an as yet undechipered code. Although solvable, this was never intended as more than a challenge. The reward yields a little more story, as the composer feels he can speak freely with such a watertight code.

8 LETTER WORDS

During a binary code, one of the unfiction members incorrectly posted it at the forum. Leaving off a 1, which spoilt the code. He was sent an anagram of "recheck" by the composer. However it was spelt incorrectly, with an extra C, affectively being an unintentional red herring the whole pregame. The other 8 letter word is a ROT'd anagram of "alphabet", again a simple hint that led to being a mystery.

One more question. Does "Key of Ace" have anything to do with Windfall Ace that posted in the renata forums?? I tried users.renata-isle.com/ace and windfallace, but no luck. He plays for the Lucia team, though so I wonder if there's a way to get to him or his site...

Laughing I was a bit worried there for a second. But for future refrence, if I say anything nasty (well, as nasty as I can get Very Happy) It's probably just me being in character, if I have a problem with you, I'll tell you in private.

Anyway, on with the show!

btw: does anybody else think we should have more threads? One for the characters, one for the codes, and maybe out for OOG stuff/meta?

absolutely, I raised the idea a while back, but there was total apathy. This threads getting a bit long, so must be a total pain for n00bs.

EDIT> I reckon one for sites, and one for in game events as well?
