fwiw, throttling didn't do jack for me. ran at the same time from (~14min) no matter what. I think others have reported the same thing.

Putting the throttle up to 10,000 just about halved my time to ~8mins.

I've downloaded the client, and installed Mono for OS X, but I can't seem to get it to go. I'm typing 'mono labour13.exe' into the Terminal, and it gives back 'cannot open assembly labour13.exe'... Is there a specific directory I need to have the files in, or... something?

I've never used the Terminal for much other than telnetting to nethack.alt.org, so if someone could provide a set of foolproof step-by-step instructions, I'd appreciate it. Smile

Hi Rifflesby - thanks for joining the effort!

Make sure you are in the directory that contains the client when you try to start it (or provide the full path). For example if the "13labour" directory is on your Desktop, you should type:

I watched the beginning of PXC but stopped at some point. Seeing as how you all are in need of all the computing power you can get for this, I'm going to devote all four computers I've got running right now to the cause. It's not much, but that's all I've got Very Happy

My main laptop tho is cracking out pieces at about 15~20 minutes, haven't set it up on the others yet.

ive just got dots. i know thats what i want but im still curious to how someone will know when they have the right answer. Do all the results just get sent to someone reviewing them and then the right one will have its client e-mail sent a notice or something? *appologises for asking so many questions* Rolling Eyes
