OK, so some new stuff:
I got an email today from Norbac:
Quote:
The North American Biotechnology Advisory Commission requires your assistance on a
recent matter. The nature of this mission cannot be discussed over unencrypted
email. You must log in to the NorBAC intranet to access the mission dossier.
Go to www.norbac.ca to access your active mission
To login, visit the link above and enter your username and password. Your status as
a NorBAC Field Agent allows you to access all files. Look inside the Mission folder
for your active and archived missions. Mission results should be submitted to
tiplineSPLAT norbac.ca.
So, after doing this, I got into the Norbac Intranet by simply using the username and password that I signed up with (I was thinking we needed to earn our field agent #'s like the first game).[/quote]

This contains info from the first phone call, which some people have yet to receive.
On the main site, the discussion forums are filled with some people who have been able to access everything first try, and those who couldn't. I had no problems, and received things quickly, but not everyone was so lucky.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Agent Ock is dead, this is revealed in the first phone call. The website he sends you to is simply the www.norbac.ca/ock which holds videos and transcripts and the like that have been "classified" from normal agents.
Things seem to be moving a bit slowly right now, but will inevitably pick up.

whoohoo..the game begins...finished first mission.
Been trying to get into sciencesucks.com...anyone have any luck? Tried every password I could think of. At the bottom of Doc Ock's page on norbac website, did anyone else notice the title? "I reward both loyalty and betrayal". Could this have something to do with it? I tried both passwords for sciencesucks..but neither worked.

not getting messages from game I read that email was sent from norbac and sciencesucks after registration. The sciencesucks email had a puzzle in it that I suspect leads to a way to enter the site. I also suspect those messages were sent to my bulk folder which is set to delete everything. I'm frustrated. This maybe what happened to any response I might have gotten from Dr. Liu. So I took what someone else got and sent it to the tipline so I could complete mission one.

email from norbac et al Okay, this is definitely a bulk email issue. I regesitered again with a different email addy that doesn't have a bulk filter and got the norbac email, the Dr. Liu email and the response from the tipline immediately.
Still haven't received an email from sciencesucks like is mentioned in the how to play thread on the regenesistv forum. Has *anyone*?

Yeah, I finally got around to doing the mission today. I got all the other replies instantaneously. There has been some confusion regarding an email from Sciencesucks. The "how do you play" thread was originally from the Season 1 game. If you look closely, you'll see that the Admin person says that "in season 1, players received emails from Norbac and Sciencesucks...".
In short, no one has gotten an email from Sciencesucks. So- no worries!

Thanks, I was sweating that one.

I finished the first mission yesterday. After my mission confirmation, I haven't heard anything else yet.

My first message to Dr. Liu went unanswered. I still have received no phone call from the game that would lead me to Agent Ock. I just tried the email again from a different, unfiltered address -- hopefully I get something soon.

The email system needs work. A lot of work.
I got the Norbac email fairly quickly, and Liu's first email came in within the first minute. But the damned second Liu email took 3 days to get through my GMail account.
The concensus on the ReGenesis forums seems to be not to reply to Liu's email, but to compose a new message altogether. This strategy seemed to work for me.
I'm glad to be finished the first mission, and I can only hope it gets better.

I use Yahoo for arg e-mails and it's been putting these all in bulk. At least with Yahoo I can see them and move them to the inbox. It's still irritating though.

I've tried 3 different email addresses, turned off spam filters, and still no luck. Any suggestions?

What kind of e-mail accounts are you using? Also, what are you saying in the e-mail?
