SirQuady - I tried that out a couple of days ago (thinking that the first part read "ascii" - but no luck.

at this point, the morse code has eaten moth holes through my brain. I'm seeing code when I sleep. if it ends up saying "ha ha, I used you all --v" I'm going to be one sad player.

I'm doubly irritated that the future page at the sentinel disappeared, because I was simultaneously working on the errors in this week's being deliberate with the omission of futures from the previous week, and now I'm seeing that in the code. arg. (heh Razz)

The second part (if the latest transcription - and the original code are correct) can also read "open line" or "opened file" or "KT erased file" or "Op/Ed nine .. "KT fried fire" "free AI" "tower" "Lily" "genetics test" "you win a set" "five-two" "my elders" "opened files: ROT-13" "boat in Leeds" "M twin edits line note" "mine test evil"...

..I could go on and on. *sigh*

For anybody who still needs the videos, they are now available for download as a torrent file as the videos were draining my bandwidth a bit.

The torrent can be found at http://pxc.alchemystudios.co.uk/torrents.html

I've been thinking...

To further my comment on page 7,

THE O.S. LIES ~ as in, hides something from view

FIND MY ERASED FILE ~ the file fidden from view

But anyway, it's still all spec.

And, has anyone thought that punctuation might be in the message, (,.?!etc...)

I am already assuming that there is punctuation in the code. I am working on the assumption that there could be anything in there, so am not discounting anything at all.

Something I've been looking for (though not finding with any reliability) is .-.-.- (or "STOP"). Assuming the message was repeated, you'd find that at least once. Making some liberal interpretations of what we have so far, I found the pattern twice...but it didn't get me anywhere. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Got this from Adrian Hon, when I emailed to ask if we could get a transcript of the morse code.

Quote:
Hi Don,

I was actually on the London Eye after the event, and like the other
people in the capsules, I saw the morse code. However, I didn't take
a recording of the code since it seemed like others were doing that.
I certainly can't help you with a code I know nothing of.

So in other words, if no-one else took accurate recordings of the
code, then you're in trouble. I'd chalk it up as a learning experience.

Adrian

So, please anyone out there, if you have the morse code, would you share with us????

Please

Don

I know I'm not the only one on those pods who wrote down the morse, (there were 48 of us there!) and I am pretty sure many of those are unfictionites...I am sad that no-one else has posted their findings. Mine are OK, but not hugely reliable - although no doubt others experienced the same difficulties, some of which is evident from the short video footages- and it would be hugely helpful if we had other material for comparative purposes. I know Reason had a sheet of morse written down; I was working on it in the pub after. Surely other folks did too?

Still working on this.....

I'm still trying to work through the morse codes, and have had a few things that might work, but it would really help if some of the unfictionites could put their transcripts up on the page. What I would like to try is to match up the messages from different people, then we could get a idea of which (if any) dots and dashes might be wrong, (you know the sort of thing, x has a dot, y has a dot and z has a dash, so we can go with dot). That might give us a good read through, cos from what I understand, the dots and dashes were hard to differentiate.

If I say pretty please with flowers?????

He seems to know too much about the cold bridge... He's in teh third power... GET 'IM!

I'm thinking we're never going to get anywhere with the morse and we might as well drop it like Adrian said.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(TIAG He'll jus throw us another bone)
*cough* I'm sure the 3P will accidentally make a similar mistake in the near future...
