Well we need a date really for this to make much sense.

If it is "in boat" it is not the tate boat, as that is at Tate Britain at 11am and not sailing at 11pm.

We probably need a few more pieces of the puzzle before we can determine if that V is correct there, but looks like both Tally and Nick were looking at the right hand light.

Splitting it differently,

.. -.-- ---..
I Y 8

Can become...

.. -. -- --- ..
I N M O I

So...
" Tate Modern at eleven, in boat by yourself, V" In Moi...?

I'm going to see about splitting the 'V' and seeing if I can piece together the 'in moi' with something else to come up with 'in morning' and see where that takes us, as it seems to be the most viable option...

Mindez is going to try and get hold of the videos that NickF mentioned.

I think we should drop the art pieces lead for now, but keep it handy, just in case.

Any more ideas would be welcomed.

Well, let's see:

In one
.. -. / --- -. .

In Mor
.. -. / -- --- .-.

This is going to be complex...

I'm going to work this out somewhere where I won't get a headache. Will report my findings tomorrow morning, if any.

If anyone can suggest a free video hosting site, please let me know. The biggest is 42MB. (I tried uploading to my BT website but it exceeded the file size...)

42MB seems kinda large to me for a 1 minute video - have you compressed it? If you like you can email them to me and I'll compress them - I'm sure we ought to be able to get them down to a manageable size.

I love it when my coffee-pumped and sleep-lacking minds colide. they give me so many random fun thoughts it's unbelievable.

Where the hell did we get 'tate' from, by the way?

Here's what i've come up with in the past... 2 hours:

Quote:
NOT SAFE TO MEET USE THE (OLD? OTHER? tbc...)

Now come on, doesn't that make more sense than
Quote:
Not safe tate dead at eleven

Third power will crumble, for we are the cube retrieval team!!!

YES! THAT'S RIGHT! I ROCK!!!

okay, a couple more hours later and it seems to be saying
Quote:
"Not safe to meet. Use the other back t set meet..."

I'll give it another hour, then go out and buy some more coffee and cigarettes...

EDIT: I gave it the hour, went out to get the coffee and cigarettes, and I'm still no closer to figuring it out, but will give it another shot later. For now, I'm off to fix a broken DVD player...

We were in pod 2 -

if anyone wants to send me the videos ill post them on one of my web servers

From what I could get while trying to transcibe , the messages wewre sent to us and not to each other ( angle of the light sources) and could not have been sent to each other .

I believe it was one message that both were sending but I could be wrong .

I am going to post all the scraps of code we got but please bear in mind
a. the "flashers" weren't morse experts
b. the flashers were standing in the freezing cold !!
c. there was no light in the pods so we were writing by phone light.
d. we replied to both of the sources with - resend and ok - but the patterns did not change

If we can standardise what we are saying - I am going to use the following formats for ease of writing and description

Pod number (1 or 2)
Bridge (Left or Right)
and use a for a dash and o for a dot with a / for a break ( if detected)

ie

P1 BR
a oooo oo ooo/ oaa oa ooo/ oa / ooo ooa oaao o oao aooo/ aoo oa aoaa

Argh - not knowing whether they are dots or dashes or where the letter breaks are makes the whole thing virtually impossible to decode.

Going back to the morse code following on from "urself V"

The next bit looks like it might be "in O" split differently.

EDIT: Also Nick your first video (end of message) are you sure about the final dash? because otherwise its mighty close to the word "cube".

'vinopolis' is close to the Tate Modern

Although I do think the pictures in the Tate could possibly be just outside of MC's budget and influence to do for this game, it is true that you can make the pictures up from three black and white filtered pictures, I do it all the time with astronomy photos, somat NASA uses too on Hubble.

Ok so somewhere in this messgae must be a date? We assume we have a time, but we still dont know if its am or pm? so its 11 when? next month, June? somat that happened at 11 a few weeks ago? Of course as mentioned before by modern hero (in his all nighter by the looks of it!) it may not be the tate and it could be a place in PXC that has a similar name, and like what happened with Gillet road, we need to send some1 there.

Make sense? Confused

I wrote down quite a lot of the morse (Westminster Bridge) although I can't seem to locate it at the moment Sad If I find it I'll scan it in and post it later...
