[News] Urban Dare - adventure race in US cities

People may be interested in urban dare. It is described as "an adventure race that is part photo hunt, part trivia and part dares - that will take place inWashington D.C., Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Columbus OH, Chicago, and Denver.

Teams of 2 play and solve clues to move around the city. Teams may call friends for help solving clues (friends with access to the internet can be very useful) and may run, walk or use public transportation to reach checkpoints.

Sounds like fun.

Err... I didn't see that.

Sounds pretty cool, but I don't know about paying 90 bucks. Still, I'm gonna try to find somebody to team up with me and split the price.

Urban Dare

I just volunteered to help set up the New York Urban Dare. Anyone who might run that race should look for me there. And if they are in your city, you may want to volunteer instead of paying the $90 for the race. Next year I am going to compete for sure. Very Happy

Thanks for the heads up on volunteering. I might just do that - I'm new enough to the Chicago area that I probably wouldn't get the trivia (or know a thing about public transport) that I'm not sure I'd want to pay to compete, but volunteering might be cool.

I didn't liked the basic idea much, but that's probably because I played those games in primare school, with all the nautical facts that don't helps a damn in real life and stuff. Brr.
The idea of this kind of game all over Washington sounds nice, however, and I would go.. If I wouldn't live on the other side of the globe.
