This game just keeps going downhill. We had to wait a week to get another chance, only to have Mr. Revolution start the window an hour ahead of schedule. I wonder what he does for an encore? Rolling Eyes

Hey i have been lurking for a bit. I tried to get into the ftp and I did not find anything but there was a link on the page to http://www.gilscottheron.com/lyrevol.html under the image Keyword. You can see it in the source as well.

Oh and I think the keymaker is a piece of technology that has become self-aware, and fears a new piece of technology that might replace it. Just a thought.

[00:10] <JohnDough> Instead of Midnight, like he promised us, he did it at least half an hour earlier.

Gang we kept trying the ftp site from 11:11 pm until 12:30 am. There were no files. There was no 5 minute window.

One last e-mail to keymaker to see if we can set up a DIFFERENT method to get the files. This one is not working.

Ok, I vote to let the game implode, this will be my last post on this, or any Hyp3r thread. I will lurk, maybe something will happen that takes us beyond this. Who is with me?

I'm ready, but I am willing to give the PM one last try, as long as s/he uses a different method than the FTP, and as long as I don't have to wait until next week for it to happen. I am trying to be charitible, but it is rather difficult. I have sat on the PM side of the curtain as a new PM, and there is a lot of help out there that this PM is just not making use of.

I hate seeing games implode, but sometimes they do. Players get terribly fristrated, but hey... this is just a game. No need to ruin our lives over it.

I'm going to wait and see what the update tomorrow brings. Hopefully it won't be as lackluster as the last couple.

Yeah, this game has not satisfied me in the least.

But in the PM's defence, I'm pretty sure this is only the pre-game, so, if it is, you can't really expect for it to be quite as good as the main game. that's what I like to beleive, anyway, maybe the main game will be worse. Maybe this is the main game. Maybe it will implode before we even find out Confused

I agree. It appears that this PM really has a very intriguing concept, but is trying to fly solo with it. It's hard to solo anything in a 24 hour world, particularly a deranged omnipotent, omnipresent entity Wink

I hope s/he recruits some assistance, because the Sanborn angle has loads of potential.

New puzzles to figure out!!!

Tonight, after a threat from LogicPhyber, Captain Scyne got an email from keymaker entitled "Don't let them see you're afraid" with a song enclosed. The song was Iain Ballamy - Mrs. Bagwell's Rhumba

At the end of Scyne's show (sorry guys, you should have stuck around until the brutal end) Keymaker came on to say that we had everything we needed in the name. So, I tried various combinations of "Mrs. Bagwell's Rhumba" after the usual www.hyp3rn3xus.com and discovered:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

http://www.hyp3rn3xus.com/bagwell/

which provides this information:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
title: his favorite line….you must now find….

Then source code provides this info:

Using underscores to make things neat, Tell me how long they would not eat....

And

HELLO. i WONT TELL YOU the answer. you LIKE PLAing my GAME?

And

//1=Don't let them
//2=see
//3=Your Afraid.

EDIT: and just as i posted this, Keymaker quickly sent this message over skype:
he will be there in the morning 9am till 5pm.... you all never want to walk though any doors, even though they are wide open.....and about Helena's epic.... there is more to speech than one language.... find the one that does not follow what the charicters are speaking, yet you still understand. It will hold the answer, your next key.... it will open a door to a brick wall.... read the writing there though.... it's quite...... compeling....

I assume he's giving Scyne's work hours.....shall we think again about sending someone to his work? MageSteff? maybe you can get Scyne to take you to lunch!

Owch. I think Keymaker had a stab at us there.
"You all never want to walk through any doors, even though they are wide open."
Charming.
Anyhoo, which epic do you think is "Helena's Epic"? It's a pretty common greek (kinda) name from what I know. Only two things I can think of right now are "Helen" from the Illiad and "Helena" from a band who released a concept album ("Epica" by Kamelot.)
I'm gonna get hold of a copy of this song somehow and try to find out "How long they did not eat/His favourite line."

EDIT: Scratch that. MirrorMask (album the song is from) includes tracks about "Helena."

Synopsis from IMDB says that the story is about a young girl called Helena who has an argument with her mother over whether or not she still stays in the circus and then she wishes her dead. That night her mother becomes ill and is taken to hospital and Helena's conscience starts bothering her and she falls into a "dreamworld" where everything in the real world has a counterpart.
Also, the song is complete gibberish apart from "sausages" which doesn't appear to work on hyp3rn3xus....

Since I am bored and have absolutely nothing better to do with my life, I decided to check out what has been going on with this game. Much to my (not-so) amazement, I have seen talk about letting the game implode (Did anyone really not see something like this coming eventually?).

Anywho, I would make the slight suggestion of possibly heading on over to the YarRadio chat room and requesting the song in question when Scyne is on if you are unable to locate a sample of it yourself. However, I would not see why the lyrics would not be on-line for people to view.

Anyway, good luck you guys and have fun. Impressive or not, you have to give the PM some credit for not stopping this game when s/he had a chance to do so (and there have been many).

I'm not about to drive across the state unless I am absolutely certain there will be something at the end of the trip. Since Scyne has been less than cordial on the phone, I'm not spending the gas money for a 6 hour round trip. gasoline is $2.50 a gallon here. I don't earn the big bucks.

Now if there are people who want to make a trip with me and share the cost of Gas on a Saturday - let me know. Otherwise - I'm done.

Owch, sorry, I wasn't trying to offend you or anything. It's just how Keymaker says we're not willing to do stuff as if it's our fault...

I wouldn't pay for the gas on my own either if I were over there.

/me pats Miles on the back

Not your fault Miles. Smile But serveral of us have offered to go to Ft. Meyers, and asked to have a meet up with Scyne or Jason and so far we have not gotten a response (other than the PM sending in a plant). I'm just saying, I am not going without a reservation to meet someone.
