Actually, (following on from the letters and everything in The Sentinel the other week) why assume she's straight? As we have so little information about her, for all we know she could be as queer as anything.

Why does she have to be single? Have you people never heard of folk having affairs?! Not that I wish to cast aspersions about her character, or anyone else's for that matter, but it's possible.
Surely you're not indicating there are *dishonest* policepeople (not to be sexist!) out there? *gasps*

Ah yeah Id forgot about that, guess thats thrown the "secret SAS thing" out of the window eh?
She could belong in the Special investigations bureau.

Special Investigations takes on all cases falling outside the remit of other bureaux. Often, these involve complex crimes such as illegal drug importation, organised crime, terrorism, and imminent threats to state security.
The Special Investigations bureau necessarily liaises with governmental defence authorities and intelligence organisations. Its operations usually go unnoticed, but they underpin the security of every citizen.
Though it is a bit strange that Kurt's investigations have found nothing. Maybe they keep a low profile. Maybe she belongs in a secret anti-3rd Power branch within the Special Investigations...

Thing is would the police department actually have a public record on her? Or even admit she exists? For us to try to contact her I mean. If she is part of a secret SAS style team then really you wouldnt want her identity to become public knowledge.
I would expect the police department to have records on every member of the secret police to give them a cover for when they need the authority the police have. However, I would expect them to be falsified as to postings, background and the like. The best way to hide something is with misdirection. Having a member of the secret police caught in someones house investigating a crime would be bad publicity. Having a member of the police with a search warrent turn up on the pretext of investigating something else is much better

I'm just off out but are those dates on the missing/most wanted pages of significance?

Three things I find curious about this situation:
1. Isaac's suicide note -- what did it say? No mention of the content (did I miss it?), but the police report says there was "no indication of forgery regarding his suicide note"
2. Juniper 'Nipper' Onego -- on the police's most wanted list for "trafficking and supplying black market goods", and Isaac died of black market Ceretin.
3. Police Internal site -- time to crack someone's password?
I suppose we need to wait to hear back from Anna...

Well it doesn't seem like the PXC police like coffee & doughnuts / bacon butties & cups of tea as much as Earth police......at least, I don't think those snazzy skin tight uniforms would look as good

Wow, what do you guys think?
Sente Kiteway and the Cheif of Police Eoin Morgan - separated at birth?
Or perhaps it's a 'older man' fashion thing in PC - they all look the same.

One thing that struck me about the site was under the 'most wanted' page in the section about Hubert Ling.
Quote:
CEO of Ling Promotions, Hubert Ling is wanted in connection with the Michael Corolla investigation. Ling is a wealthy individual with a known penchant for exotic travel and, allegedly, exotic women.
Exotic travel to where? So far we have seen Perplex City as being completely insular with the only confirmed existance of other habitation outside the city being the ruins that Scarlett curently finds herself in... The Miko interview on talk sport said that there was no equivelent to our air-travel in PXC so exotic travel seems out of the question??

I wondered the same thing but then we are told that

I've been wondering about PerplexCity's international situation for a while. We know they don't have any close neighbours. According to the Academy Museum
Quote:
It is a matter of historical record that, from around 70BC until 0AC, our city was engaged in a prolonged and violent conflict with its neighbours. The results of this conflict are scored on the face of the city itself, as well as on the surrounding area for many thousands of miles. Perplex City no longer has neighbours. The past 250-odd years of peace for which the city often congratulates itself do us no credit, for we have had no one with whom to make war .
So they have no-one within reach. What about further away? There is a Foreign Affairs subject in the Sentinel website, which unfortunately requires a key to access. But the simple fact that it is there shows that there are other people out there. And what about the enormous military budget that PerplexCity feels necessary to maintain? If they were alone in their world, what would they need it for?
Maybe the other cities/countries are located on the other side of their world, probably on different continents, making them difficult to get to without planes. Which makes me wonder about boats. I haven't got the map of PerplexCity in mind, I know they have a harbour, is there a chance they could have a navy?
On a different tack, if they didn't have planes during the war, HOW did they strike at Anjsbourg? Did they do it the hard way, with a spy (or a whole team) taking it into the heart of the city? How on earth do you do that without getting noticed? Unless it was really small...
OR they could have done it from the sky if they have satellites. They might well do since Scarlett was able to use her key from Anjsbourg. I'm no telecom specialist but I'm guessing anything ground-based wouldn't have carried the signal that far... Is there a chance they could have developed satellite technology without building planes first? Maybe they did have planes during the war and outlawed/lost the technology in the post-war years?

Well, they do have planes, and there's every reason to imagine that they had planes during the war as their technology at that time sounds fairly advanced. Basically, what they don't have is a large, international flight network like we see on Earth. It's thought that "devastating everywhere else worth visiting in a cataclysmic conflict" might be the reason for this.
