I know "Besaid" is an island from Final Fantasy X and "Shadow Moses" is an island from Metal Gear Solid.

I did some Googling and "Al-Amarja" is an island from the game "Over The Edge," and Moesko Island is the island from The Ring.

I say they're probably just sponsers

but it seems that each one of them has an adult rating (Over the Edge dosn't say so, but it seems adult/mature) maybe it's their form of a disclaimer?

I'd guess that the significance is that they are all Islands. Can't think of a common link between the islands, but don't forget that this is set on Renata Isle.

ALSO (Important): I reccomend that everybody act like they are from Immersion (read all the board before you do anything, to understand) because the charcters seem a bit...uneasy twords outsiders
